Hidousp Computers & Accessories

I took this router because I had a wireless aircard version, which by the way later died. Well, the first time I used it, it did wonders for my computers. the aircard is really soft and bam the aircard is dying. Tech support says they have no idea why it's not working. I'm downgrading to a version with a big bug, they say I'm using outdated technology. So in the end this item is in my closet and now I am using the mifi 2200 router and there is no need for this thing. Games are much smoother and

Two devices = two defective devices

I purchased this based on the specs of my Verizon PC5750 PCMCIA card. The first device arrived and it didn't even come with a PCMCIA card - no lights, no power, etc. had to spend another 1.5 hours with Linksys support before they gave up, declared the device defective and asked for it to be returned . Oh, but you can't return it to Linksys - it has to be returned to the seller. I contacted them and they were very nice and sent me a second block. The second block arrived today. Follow the…

It worked the first time!

The router was received, connected, it worked the first time! Installation is so easy that there are step-by-step instructions to get it working. I read in a review that this makes the Verizon Wireless card 'faster'. It seems faster for basic web browsing, but download speeds are about the same. I would recommend this to anyone using a Verizon Wireless Internet Card. By the way, I'm using a PC-5750 WLAN card.

Pros
  • GOLS certified

Great product! suitable for network products

Works right out of the box! Plugged in my Novatel V740 Expresscard (using a PCMCIA card adapter), connected an ethernet cable to the PC and voila, internet access! It's that easy! I then made the necessary SSID and security changes; then i ran I use it for my netbook, iPod touch and children's laptop at the same time without any problems. I highly recommend this product!

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging

Brilliant! Suitable for Networking Products

If you have a mobile broadband card in your home for internet access and want to share it with multiple computers, you need to look at one of the Linksys variants of this device (Verizon, Sprint, att). We used to share an internet connection through a Windows computer, but even when the computer was running, we had to periodically reset the network connection to maintain an internet connection. Also, we had to keep the computer on (a lot of power) to keep in touch. Setup was easy, like all…

Great for holidays and weekends

This mobile router is great for me and my family. Normally, when we go on weekends or vacations, everyone wants to use a laptop with a mobile broadband card to check their email and update Facebook. With this router we can now use multiple laptops at once, as well as my daughter's iPod Touch. Setup was easy and the range was pretty good. The MiFi 2200 is much more convenient for mobile use as it's smaller and runs on battery power, but doesn't have wired Ethernet ports like this router. This…

Great product With some caveats

This product is great. Linksys took their support team overseas so it sucks now. BUT, it's really easy to set up. 1) Make sure your card is on the APPROVED list (only 3 cards will work for Verizon) 2) Make sure your card has been activated and you have USED it in the computer, you cannot take an active card and it just plug it in 3) Have another available internet source during setup so you can log into Linksys chat for technology/configuration questions. 4) Patience and a basic understanding…

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great product, poor documentation and support

The device works great if you have an approved card and updated firmware. I made this as a New Years gift for my parents! They brought me the device as they couldn't get it to work. Good1) Device works as advertised provided you are willing to battle your way through poor support and documentation! Poor1) No tech support number with product. (they redirect you to Verizon tech support, which is useless and totally fraudulent, a lame attempt to blame Linksys) 2) Updated firmware drivers hidden in
