Description of 🧣 Lion Brand Yarn 826-208 Scarfie Yarn, Oxford/Claret - One Size

Scarfie is a soft and lofty wool blend yarn with enough yardage to knit or crochet a full length scarf. While working with Scarfie, you'll see a unique self-striping ombre effect emerge, with gradual shading from one color to the next. The ombre pattern is a sophisticated and tonal blend of solid and feathered hues. Scarfie is great for stylish garments, accessories and afghans. 78% Acrylic; 22% Wool.

Wonderful yarn for hats, scarves and hoods

I love this yarn. It makes gorgeous hats, scarves and hand-knitted hats. I recommend and will buy again.

Pros
  • There's something in it
Cons
  • For pensioners

Love the colors but make no mistake!

I love the gradations of this yarn so much though - this yarn is so difficult to undo if need be. It will tangle on itself and it will be almost impossible (if not impossible) to untie. As a beginner whore I only use it for easy one stitch designs where I make fewer mistakes.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Nothing here

Wrong item for yarn

I received a gray yarn that didn't match the picture. The tag is taped and crumpled, and the yarn isn't even the white color listed on the tag. This is not like any other scarf yarn I have. So the yarn I received is not the yarn I purchased nor the yarn listed on the label. Why would anyone change the label? That's ridiculous.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other options

Strand quality problems---seconds?

This is one of my favorite threads --- I have bought it from Joann's in the past and will buy it there in the future. Here it was more expensive and there were problems with it - there were a couple of spots where the yarn was tied into one ball, while I bought yarn at retail it was always one continuous ball. . Is it seconds? Store bought ones don't have these problems.

Pros
  • The ombre pattern is a sophisticated tonal mix of solid and feathery hues.
Cons
  • No power.

Depends on your experience and usage

So I'm new to knitting but I've been crocheting for a long time. That's fine for knitting. For knitting? Nothing for a beginner. It tears easily, varying diameters are a problem, and smudging makes it difficult to see your stitches when doing anything other than Stockinette Stitch or Garter Stitch. I would give it a 4 for crocheting and a 2 for beginner knitting. It's softer than I thought after crocheting or knitting and I love the color variations. The price is great for making a whole scarf…

Pros
  • 78% Acrylic; 22% wool
Cons
  • Slightly torn
