Great tool for adjusting brakes Tools

This is a great tool. I've been using it regularly for over 3 years. This tool easily removes brake pad holders on many vehicles. The silver protrusion on the end of the tool spins freely and is used to apply pressure to the spring. When the spring is depressed, rotating the handle rotates the tool shank. The shank of the tool fits over the locking pin. So when you rotate the handle, the pin rotates so you can line it up with the hole and then the pad retainer can be removed. This tool doesn't…

The best tool in my box.

After two days of trying to install recoil springs and peeling skin on my knuckles and fingers, I got the idea that I should have paid someone else to work on the brakes. I came across this article while browsing Revain. I thought about it and decided not to try it for a few bucks. I mean all the manuals say to use a vise, maybe they work for most people but for me it just sucks, I needed something to handle and get the job done. I recently replaced the parking brake pads on my 2007 Honda Element. I figured this tool would make it a lot easier than the last time I used small needle nose pliers and a screwdriver. Not even close. The springs on these parking brakes are too small to be used with this tool. Of course, I installed everything with hubs, so space in my suitcase was very limited. The small needle nose pliers worked best though and did the job very well. I'm not criticizing the tool that much, just stating that…
