Lisle 51250 Spark Plug Puller Review

While this tool has a lot of potential and can generally work well, it's too cheaply made. During the first use, I was able to loosen the first 4 plug wires on my 6-cylinder Explorer by gently pulling, but the metal shaft of the tool detached from the plastic handle on the fifth wire sheath. Upon examining the shank of the tool, it could be seen that the end that was in the handle was not flattened or turned to prevent it from being pulled out of the molded body. This purchase should have been made many years ago. With more and more new cars using Coil-On-Plug (COP), this tool isn't that important. But for old cars with plugs and plug wires, it is indispensable. I just did spark plugs on a Ford 4.0L SOHC. PITA for passenger side connector access, but the puller worked fine on two of the three connector wires. Used 90 degree needle nose pliers to remove the third.
