Was able to fix the spark plug threads without removing the head. The instructions were easy to follow and all the parts were easy to identify and use. A few shavings fell into the cylinder, but I was able to remove them with my factory vacuum's micro-nozzles.

Solid product. Everything you need is included. I had to use this set because the narrow passage to the head prevented me from using other sets that require a head to work with the drill tool. The nest was too wide to fit in the aisle. Also included in this kit was a tool to prevent you from pushing the helix too far down into the head. The tool allows you to properly align the spiral coil. My car is a Mazda 3 2.3l.

Update 4/12. Lisle sent a new pack of 11/16 stakes and they threaded correctly. Thank you Lyle! Lyle always does good stuff, "usually," but this time the long 11/16" inserts aren't fully internally threaded. This makes them useless because the insert setter has short threads and doesn't reach to the bottom. inside the liner. All 1ft, 5/16" and 7/16" liners are threaded through. Of course I need an 11/16" inspection tool for this job, which doesn't meet the requirements for this item.

Worked great! Saved about $800. Don't buy cheap $20 sets. I repaired a blown spark plug on my 09 F150. Things not in the instructions. After installing the insert, do not pull out the insert tool. I left it there for about two hours to give the screw lock a good chance to dry. If you try to unscrew the socket before the thread-locking works, you will most likely pull the socket out.
