Leaking/ dripping tips

This is my 3rd Lixit wide mouth water bottle. My other two were smaller than this one and had zero problems with dripping/leaking. This bottle is larger, I think for guinea pigs though I purchased for my hamster. I had to try several times to properly fill and seal this bottle so that it didn't have a rapid dripping happening. If this hadn't been my 3rd bottle I probably would have been frustrated and given up. These bottles will drip if a vacuum isn't properly created. I really had to fill…

It does a great job.

Water tightness is the most important thing for me, it works great, my two guinea pigs survived on their own for 10 days and I can go on vacation with peace of mind.

Awesome, would buy again for rat

Love it! Little leaking at first but don’t notice it anymore. I bought it for my adolescent rat who looked like he was working harder with smaller water bottles.

Best bottle on the market!

I love the wide opening of this water bottle. It makes it extremely easy to clean.the size of this bottle is perfect for my 3 guinea pigs. It hangs on my c&c cage just fine. I’ve had it for a couple months now and have not experienced any leaks at all.

Constantly leaking: my feedback

Had to get another bottle as this one is constantly leaking no matter what angle I set it or what level I fill it too. The matting under this bottle is always drenched by the next morning.

Simple and Easy: my feedback

My rats do not care for a water bowl in their cage, they seem to think it is a place to pack in bedding, then dig down for water. I switch the bowl for one this water bottle and they took to it immediately! It also holds more water than the bowl, which means I do not need to fill it as often, and I do not need to worry about bedding getting in it. Good, could be better with additional securing wire

I do like this water bottle option for our guinea pig. The only complaint I have is that I needed to add an additional latch to secure the bottle to the cage. Our guinea pig could just be more aggressive than others with excitement for drinking, so I’m not sure if this is typical but if this came with more than one latch to connect to the cage, I would give it five stars

Leaks at first in my review

UPDATEWhen in place on the cage, the leaking subsided. It still leaks at first but eventually stopped. I'm nktnsure why the inconsistency.We used this water bottle for a few weeks before cleaning it and refilling. Now it leaks no matter how full or empty we fill it and no matter how tight we screw on the lid. It leaks too much to use as it is a constant drip. My window to return closed YESTERDAY

Fantastic water bottle.The plastic isn't flimsy. It's pretty solid.The roller stays firm and doesn't leak water.It has a HUGE wide mouth for filling.We used Kaytee glass water bottles before this, and those things are absolute garbage.
