Description of LM YN Constant Current Step Up

250W boost constant current module, Input voltage : DC8.5V-48V; Input current : 10A (MAX) exceeds 8A please enhance heat dissipation;. Output voltage : DC 10-50V continuously adjustable ;Output current : 10A MAX exceed 6A please enhance heat dissipation ( input, output pressure related to the pressure the greater the output current is smaller ). Temperature: -40 ~+ 85 °C ( ambient temperature is too high , please enhance heat dissipation ). Conversion efficiency : up to 96% ( efficiency and input and output voltage, current , pressure -related )Overcurrent protection : Yes ( input exceeds 13A, automatically reduces the output voltage , have a range of error . ). Applications: DIY a power supply, 12V input and output 12-50V adjustable; The power supply for your electronic device , according to your system can set the output voltage value .As car power supply for your PDA ,LED lightsor a variety of digital products supply.DIY solar panel regulator . to the battery , rechargeable lithium battries .driving high-power LED lights.

The product was DOA - Power Accessories

Increase the input voltage to 20V to output 40V and could not change the output voltage. I didn't bother to test CC when I couldn't even change the output voltage.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Good current limit driver

Used as LED driver for 100W chip. Adjust voltage with dummy load and minimize current. Adjusted the current when connected to the LED. Works perfectly.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Small things

As advertised: Power Converter

I was looking for a driver that could effectively dim LED arrays while staying within a specific physical profile. This product met my needs perfectly. I will order many more.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Some small things

Not enough for power converters

I used this to power a 100w led with a 4S (15.8v) lipo battery. Despite using a fan, it failed after a few weeks of light use. Two of them failed the same way, so I switched to a different converter. I would not recommend them as they break after very little use.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Speed

Fails after 10-12 minutes at 40% rated load

I used this to power a powerful 30V 3A LED (tested and measured) from a 12V battery, what for was the case for about 10-12 minutes. then failed to apply a near short circuit to the battery. The unit ran in a cooler environment at 45 degrees Fahrenheit, with active dissipation (heatsink and fan) in place and worked. The device does not meet the declared properties.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Useless features

No CC, bad soldering, bad quality, ineffective, not good 250W

Not worth the money when I got it, all the soldering was grainy. Once powered up and connected it seemed to work fine with CV, however CC didn't work and this is critical to my LED driver use case. The wires were thin at both the inductor and the leads. I really doubt it can handle 250W as I have a 150W boost converter here and the coil wire is 3 times thicker. Judging by the thermal output at only a 20W load (12V input, 40V output) I really doubt claims of over 90% efficiency have any merit as

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Will write later
