is best used on a flat aluminum pan. Torque included with instructions. and do not exceed the torque. has not expired with my turbo 400 trans. Also make sure the surface is perfectly clean.

Tightened according to instructions. It held up well until I hit the trail, then a slow drip started in one of the corners. Torque checked and correct alignment to pallet checked. Not very happy with that.

waste of money. I bought a new pan, rivets and this nice expensive gasket. Installed and tightened to factory specs... ...the car wouldn't even start before it started leaking. I don't think anything lands on the bottom of my bin faster.

Lube Locker is the best seal in my opinion. No need for RTV. I removed the pan and reused the gasket and it hasn't leaked. I also bought a differential cover gasket and love it. Never use RTV, plain paper or cork seals again. If there is a lube locker for a project I'm working on, I will buy that brand.

I ordered this seal for my TH400 with a factory stamped pan. This gasket was much thinner than expected and I was unable to get a proper seal. I think this is due to the raised ribs on the rim of the pan and also because the gasket is too stiff and thin to form those ribs when the mounting bolts are tightened to the specified torque. I ordered a 3/16 inch thick Moroso rubber gasket after it failed, it seems to seal perfectly with no leaks. I would not recommend a Lube Locker Pad.

Lube Locker THM400 oil pan gasket check. Lube Locker advertises this gasket as having everything you need: a metal backing and 2 different gasket materials. Sounds very good. When inspecting a new gasket, they seem to have misjudged the actual sealing surfaces. The THM400 sump does NOT have a 100% flat flange gasket.
