Nice clasp - Hardware

The quality is way better than I expected for the price. Use higher quality screws for added security, but the latch itself is well made and solid.

Extremely low quality!

Perhaps the worst Chinese junk. I installed a few of these, eventually removed them and threw them away after a week. Save time and money, buy something else!

Incredibly light weight

The clasp itself is so light it looks like it was made very cheaply. The lack of weight also means that the clasp does not always close by itself. Type of defeat of the target's "gravitational" latch.

Do not use the screws provided

When installing on a wooden chicken coop door I built, the first screw broke while screwing it in. Let me repeat that - the very first screw broke when I drove it into a piece of WOOD. 2x4 to be exact. I started laughing because I couldn't believe what just happened. Guess what happened to the second screw I tried to put in? Yes absolutely. out of stock Well done guys!

This latch secures the pantry doors outside of my chicken coop.

The screws included with this latch do not fit the holes. However, it is a very good latch! I had black screws to install the latch with and I would order this latch again knowing I may have to provide my own screws! This latch secures the pantry doors outside of my chicken coop.

Measure first! best in gate hardware

Purchased to replace an identical latch on my garden fence. But the horizontal strip on the left was about an inch shorter than the one I replaced, meaning it's not working as intended. It snaps into place but is too tight to snap into place on its own so you have to block it from the latch side. Works but a bit disappointing. Ordered another one which turned out to be the right length, described as a heavy duty version. But the bar that was delivered had a completely different design, so thatโ€ฆ
