These things are neat, don't get me wrong. I use them for background when streaming and when playing music and love the effect they create, but they have a couple drawbacks. Mainly, the battery seems to drain when they are not in use, meaning frequent charging and less than optimal shelf life. We bought two six inch and two 8 inch globes for use around our pool. Very nice lights, they look great and are easy to use. We have not yet floated them in the water so I am not sure how well that works.

We have 3 of these and love to put them on slow glow while listening to music and camping. The 8in light ball has a loop that can be used to hang them, the 6in ball does not have a hanging loop.Great for lighting an area with either bright or warm light. The battery life is 6-8 hours.

After 4 years these lights still work great! Highly recommended! I would buy again and have referred my friends Poor customer service.

I have used this extensively the last two years, but now the battery won't hold a charge at all - it has to be plugged in to work. We're supposed to be able to buy a new base for the ball if the battery dies, but I don't see it for sale on revain anymore. :/ I'd still recommend this, though. It's beautiful and fun.

Peaceful, ambient light for the bedroom. I especially enjoy the dimmer option; brighter colors easily dim with 5 remote settings. I bought this and an 8" globe. The globes are plastic but seem sturdy, so I'm not worried about them breaking. Light diffuses well. The charging port is a little odd because it's not flush with the globe. When charging, the globe won't stand straight. However, after a short charge, it's ready to go, and the battery lasts for days - longer if only used for a few hours
