This is a great tool, I was amazed at how well you can do it.

This is a great tool. I was impressed by how well you can control the depth of the blade and yes, clean any extra blades after you receive them!

Logan mat knife works perfectly

Completely does the job you bought it for. An extra blade is included, but I cut 6 mats without noticeably blunting the first blade. I highly recommend it.

There was no way to make a vertical cut. Design problem, construction problem? I gave up.

Try as I might, I couldn't get a straight vertical cut. I changed blades. I had to return to my Bard Parker Dental Scalpel to complete my project. I had a very strong straight edge. I don't think the blade protrudes enough from the mount.

Watch out for extra blades

As someone who has previously used precision knives or scissors to cut everything, I didn't see the need to buy a frosted knife, but it was a necessary one Item for one of my college courses so I bought it. The knife frustrated me at first when I tried to use it without realizing that a regular knife comes with two extra blades. Once I figured that out and took out the extra blades, the product worked great and I use it regularly now.
