The quality is at zero, very sting of the money spent.

Today I will inform you about a product that I found Logitech Trackman Marble Four Button Programmable. I somehow missed the moment that there is no scrolling on the device constructively, there are several ways to get around this moment, but with the active use of this particular function, all sorts of emulations will not replace the usual wheel. You can probably get used to it. But for myself, I decided that I threw the money away.

Pros
  • Looks great, everything works
Cons
  • There is no scrolling, and sellers try very hard not to advertise this moment

After a year of use, the left button of the warranty mouse broke and gave it for repair, but even after a month and a half nothing has changed after the repair, failures also occur. I decided to disassemble the mouse myself and realized that the reason for the failure was the discrepancy between the weight of the button and the springy action of the switch. this method has been tested on the spirit of logitech marble trackballs

Pros
  • Ease of use, ergonomics, price.
Cons
  • Saved on extra springs

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

i took it for use in games (in shooters) before that i read a lot of information that they say it’s inconvenient, it’s much better on a standard mouse . i doubted for a long time, i couldn’t stand it, i bought it ! and have no regrets! i got used to it very quickly, literally 2-3 days, mainly games (shooters) and the internet, it is very convenient to play, the hand lies in one place, only you need to work more quickly with your fingers! and the buttons turned out to be very conveniently…

Pros
  • a very handy thing for laptops, no need to crawl on the mat, the ball is nice, it spins easily, you get used to the buttons very quickly!
Cons
  • no

this model is generally some kind of designer prank or joke. completely unusable design. from the word at all. the absence of a "hardware" device for scrolling is solved by shamanism with special software, after which an action that you don’t even think about in normal devices and do on the machine is performed here using a cunning manipulation to hold the side button scroll the ball. to do this quickly, you need to pump this skill separately. well, the symmetrical side buttons will fit well in

Pros
  • nothing
Cons
  • all

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

After the mouse, it takes a significant amount of time to change habits. Do not trust first impressions, as well as reviews written based on them. I think that from the point of view of medicine, this device is more correct than a mouse, fundamentally less harmful. You need to give out information with your fingers, and the rest of your hand should not strain. Thats how a properly made and positioned keyboard works, and thats how this device works. If you have to share a computer with someone…

Pros
  • - Dont-mouse. To fully appreciate, you need the mouse to move your wrist. But not a touchpad either, not crowded. - At first, the ball seemed small, but then I realized that it was just right. The balance between the accuracy of small movements and the ability to make large ones. - The ball is massive, this in some cases allows it to be sharply twisted and allowed to rotate by inertia. Useful when scrolling very long documents. - Scrolling in two directions, both horizontally and vertically, with the same ball. Unlike a regular mouse wheel on one axis. You need to tinker with the settings, hang this mode on one of the buttons (there are four of them), but when you do it, the opportunity is very useful. - The ball is easily removed to clean the household that is hidden under it. - The device is symmetrical, unlike many other trackball - makes it possible to work equally comfortably for both left-handers and right-handers.
Cons
  • - Over time, the buttons began to junk. Small ones sometimes do not work, but large ones, on the contrary, strive to make a double click on a single click. While (year of work) it is shown infrequently, but happens. The first months everything was without failures. - If you have a large monitor (2k - 4k), then you need to tinker with the mouse cursor acceleration setting and get used to the big acceleration. Because otherwise you will have to get from edge to edge of the screen in several movements.

The goods are normal, money is not wasted!

This is my first trackball. The first sensations were strange, and by the evening I planned to return it to the store. But I decided to use it for a few days for the sake of experiment. As a result, I don’t want to switch back to the mouse. The hand lies in one position all the time, there is no need to make unnecessary movements - it is convenient. In addition, the ball kneads the palm well. And you can also twist it to relieve stress. At first, the ball was spinning a bit tight, but after a…

Pros
  • The hand stopped hurting and tired. Higher comfort, albeit slower cursor movement over long distances. I was too lazy to return to a regular mouse.
Cons
  • The size of the trackball is large, which is not very convenient for the average palm. Uncomfortable small buttons. No scroll wheel.

A little bit not what I expected, generally fine.

I took it to free up space on the table and get rid of the mouse. The table is low, because of this, when working with a mouse in the hand, there is always a “kink”, which is then painfully felt. As a result, the shape of the trackball is such that the “kink” of the hand has not gone away and the painful sensations have now simply shifted to other muscles / ligaments. For my money, the device is normal, but I will definitely take a different trackball.

Pros
  • The sizes are really big. The ball is good, dense, heavy.
Cons
  • The symmetry is unsuccessful, there is a feeling that the hand is resting on some bony vertebra. The case is flimsy, rattle-like. The buttons are not impressive in quality, they rattle and the plastic is cheap.

i hoped for the quality of the company (recommended), it turned out that in vain. the first track ball broke as a result of an internal electrical failure (something shorted out, the computer rebooted and the ball died). the second (as it turned out, all logiteks) after 2 months. the left key began to fail: you press once, it works twice, you try to press two - it does not work, you hold and move the object - it spontaneously releases ((( in general, a quiet "horror"! disappointed with…

Pros
  • trackball, outwardly made with high quality, with a cord, symmetrical, large comfortable ball
Cons
  • disgusting reliability and constructive quality (bought twice, broke twice without serving even half a year (((), no scroll wheel, too easy to smudge (especially the wheel)

A good product, more pros than cons.

Before that, there was Kensington Orbit, but it has outlived its usefulness (I bought it used and used it for a couple more years, the buttons started to stick). I wanted to buy it myself, but I didn’t find it in stock, and other models with a scroll ring are more expensive and bulky. In general, I regret that I bought it: I hoped that it would be even more convenient to scroll with a button with a ball, but Logitech does not provide convenient solutions out of the box, and third-party ones are

Pros
  • - It is convenient to fasten with ribbons (I screwed it onto the armrest of the chair), since there is enough body around the ball and buttons - In general, it is quite ergonomic - Less often you have to clean it than Kensington
Cons
  • - The Logitech site with drivers works horribly - you have to look for third-party resources - For convenient scrolling on the button, the movement of the ball requires third-party applications (in the Logitech application for Windows there is an option similar to the old method - with a middle mouse button click and mouse deviation from the "anchor" , on Mac you can put PgUp and PgDown on buttons 3 and 4, but then there is no middle mouse button left). On a Mac, I found only Smart Scroll for $14 (you don’t have to pay - but then the function is periodically disabled for a couple of minutes and a modest purchase window pops up). But even with third-party applications, scrolling is not very convenient - when you click and move the ball, the cursor also moves (Smart Scroll has a function to stop this movement, but then the scroll often does not work on the first try - its impossible to use). - Kensington Orbit feels accurate above - Up to the 4th button (I have the middle mouse button on it) it is inconvenient to reach, I have to change the position of the hand

Poor product, the quality is below average.

I have been using trackballs for over 10 years. A normal mouse hurts my wrist. Before that there were Logitech Cordless TrackMan Optical Black and Kensington Orbit Scroll Ring Trackball K72337EU. Both have either a wheel or a scroll ring. The first one worked for 8 years, stopped connecting via radio. The second one is at work. Having suffered at home with a mouse, I decided to look for a trackball. Found this wonder. I read the reviews, hoped that with the help of some programs I could set up…

Pros
  • Design. For any hand. Trackball, not a regular mouse. A wired connection is more reliable than a radio channel.
Cons
  • There is no normal scrolling. Inconveniently located additional buttons.

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

The hand finally rested. Like many, all my work is on the computer, that is, the main working tools are the keyboard and mouse. I used a regular 100-ruble OEM mouse for almost half a year, and my wrist began to fail. First, a slight whining, then the right hand began to numb at all after five minutes of work. For a week I tied my arm with an elastic bandage, then I decided - I bought a trackball. It was unusual for about a month. I chose the following layout for scrolling: the left additional…

Pros
  • Build quality. Everything, like other Logitech equipment, is at the highest level. Unusual design. In fact, we roll a ball with black marks with our fingers, the alternation of which reads the laser beam from the window under the ball. Massive. For me a big plus. At home, the Logitech M500 manipulator - and so it seems to me already a little thing compared to the subject. Place your hand comfortably. A massive object is pleasant to hold. Huge main buttons. You can hold it this way and that - its convenient to press anyway.
Cons
  • The design assumes, unfortunately, that if there was some dirt or natural hand marks on top of the ball, then two or three movements, and the dirt has already left to settle on the slide rollers and even on the laser sensor window. In general, it’s nonsense - I just take out the ball, blow it there, run my finger - I work on.

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

The change of long-term habits when moving from the mouse was fast. I preferred Logitech mice with an accelerating scroll wheel, so there were doubts that there was no wheel at all in the trackball. I quickly found out that it is simply not needed when instead of a "scroll wheel" there is a whole "scroll ball" :) We press the button and scroll in any direction! On this model, there is no great inertia of the ball, although it is quite heavy, however, this does not cause any inconvenience…

Pros
  • Ergonomic: large ball, large buttons, easy to clean and quite reliable device.
Cons
  • Symmetry for any hand makes the location of the buttons not as convenient as it could be specifically for the right hand.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A completely ordinary product, nothing remarkable.

for me, there was no question of mouse vs trackball. it is very difficult to move accurately and quickly to the other edge of the monitor using a trackball. a trackball is good for fine work. actually, i came up with the idea to buy a trackball because i scroll a lot and literally in a couple of months the wheel of an ordinary mouse dies, a mouse with a touchpad instead of a wheel did not justify itself. also, due to problems with straight lines, it is impossible to use browser mouse gestures…

Pros
  • i use it like a mouse wheel on steroids. i really like the possibility of auto-scrolling and universal scrolling. high positioning accuracy when working with small elements. easy to rewind video.
Cons
  • bad keys! far away from the ball, and their location relative to each other is disgusting; it is very easy to press the wrong button. only additional ones are assigned. keys, but it would be better if all were assigned. it is impossible to quickly draw a straight line (i think this is a drawback of all trackballs)

This is my first trackball device. So there is nothing to compare with. But summarizing personal experience, I can say that this particular implementation of the trackball is convenient. To the question of trackball vs mouse. For myself, I did not find significant advantages of the trackball over the mouse and vice versa. This also applies to the accuracy of cursor positioning, and the speed of work. You can equally well highlight the contours of objects in photoshop and play shooting games…

Pros
  • - the hand rests comfortably on the case, does not get tired - it is possible to use all fingers to rotate the ball (usually 3, less often 4) - it is convenient - no special surface is required for comfortable work (for example, laser mice do not work correctly on all surfaces, especially with contrasting textures) - the lack of scrolling is compensated by: a) using additional. buttons to transfer the ball to the scrolling mode) by the skill of throwing the cursor on the scroll bar and (holding the left button) move around the page by means of the ball rotation.
Cons
  • After 1.5 years of work, the "left button" began to fail. Dragging objects requires significant pressure. I plan to use one of the rarely used additional buttons (in the top row) as a donor for soldering.

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I bought it, because the table is small, and a lot of things are laid out on it, there is no place for the mouse to disperse. I have been happy with the purchase so far. As for the wheel, I didn’t try to look for a replacement for it, I just got used to using the scroll bars on the side of the windows. As for the buttons, ball, location and convenience. After reading the reviews, it seems that the people are holding him upside down (except that it is really inconvenient to hold him this way).

Pros
  • - Accurate positioning of the cursor. - Comfortably lies in the hand. - Buttons are conveniently located (including small ones, but here it’s already an amateur). - It is convenient to turn the ball with two fingers. - The ball rotates smoothly and easily (with clean supports). - Easy clean the supports for the ball. - It does not require a lot of space on the table (you can generally use it on your knee). - I don’t know how anyone, but for the three years that I use it, I didn’t have any complaints.
Cons
  • 1) Its hard to get used to the lack of a wheel. It took me about two weeks to do this. 2) The sensor window is clogged. Although it is not difficult to clean. 3) After it, using a regular mouse is perceived as the game where you need to move the cursor through the maze without touching its walls. 4) During use, the case began to peel off, and now it looks very worn. I want, but there is no choice of trackballs.
