Description of Enhanced Traction with LOOK Keo Road Cleats - Superior Grip for Road Cycling

Three float options are available to fit the needs of every cyclist: 0 ° black / 4.5 ° grey / 9 ° red. The position of your cleats can be customized with the KEO FIT system. The Keo standard was developed in order to minimize the weight and size of the cleat/pedal ensemble, while remaining compatible with all shoes available on the current market. The entry and the release are secure and work well. The position memory LOOK patent easily allows the adjustment of your cleats when you need to change them. In order to use this system, the sole of your shoes must have a central oblong where the memory position part will be screwed.

Good work! Improved design.

I really like the new design as I think it offers better support. I'm considering buying such aftermarket versions, but none of them have a suitable gripping surface. As you can see from the photo, the old boots were quite worn out. I expect to get a year or two of that. They are a bit pricey but in the end I think you get what you pay for as the quality and design are great!

Pros
  • Easy fit
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Different colors mean different amounts of lateral movement

I made the mistake of not knowing what the different colors mean and ordered red cleats which have 9 degrees of lateral movement compared to gray cleats, which I use a many years. The grays have an angle of about 4 degrees and are easier for me to open than the reds with more lateral movement. But the Look boots are fine and the seller sent them asap.

Pros
  • Good product for the price

  • Lots of stuff

Pros/Cons: Parts and components

Pros: I use these Keo Grip spikes with PowerTap P1 pedals. Surprisingly, the Keo Grip cleats are easier to install and remove than the cleats that come with (and presumably were designed for) the pedals. And the softer plastic of the Grip Pads makes starting at intersections or just walking much safer. The Bad: After a few months of riding and maybe 1000 miles, I noticed that the undercut felt odd and realized that the right front pad was just gone. Spike, and the pad on the left Spike came…

Great clip without swimmers. Wear after about 3 months with daily use

I prefer a zero float or a gray set with a float of about 4.5 degrees. The red 9 degrees of lift is way too much and I feel like I'm wasting too much energy even on normal rides. I don't race, but I like to drive with purpose. I used to have to buy a new pair of these covers every quarter as I commuted to and from work daily, even if I used the covers to walk a few yards to and from bus/train stations. For recovery, I've found that I only have to change them once a year because I don't have to…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Updates available

I used my first pair until they broke (jumped out of the pedal), the rubber quickly runs out, then there is a loud knock when walking, slippery on tile floors. I've crashed a few times when I missed the first attempt at disengagement, but they stay on the pedals even when pedaling hard. They are nice and efficient and really help you get on your bike and uphill. Maybe next time I'll go to the SPD so I can be like my friends and also ride a mountain bike. Although I've been riding those days, my

Making the clipless process a lot easier (SEE EDIT)

These Look cleats are from the PowerTap P1 cleat set and are VERY nice to find and get. The PowerTaps were initially OK at best, but became more and more problematic to turn on and off after a few weeks; The exterior was quite annoying, and in some cases even insidious. I was concerned that these Look cleats would not work optimally with my PowerTap pedals; not so. They work just as well in terms of the data that is ultimately produced in terms of power delivery, and they are significantly…
