Description of Look KEO Classic Road Pedals

Simple to use, it is possible to adjustment the cleat entry/release tension to low for an easy clip out. Its large and wide contact surface provides excellent pedaling stability. The Keo Classic 3 spindle is made up of an oversized steel axle with miniature ball bearings (12 mm inside x 18 mm outside) and a needle bearing cartridge for improved wear resistance. A spacer is used to hold the needle bearing cartridge in place. A new method of fitting the spindle into the pedal body also ensures the prolonged reliability of our pedals. LOOK spindles are only approved after a rotational test of 2 million cycles at 100tr/min with a load of 90kg on the center of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (creating a shock on each rotation). LOOK axles are only approved after a rotational test of 2 million cycles at 100 rpm with a load of 90 kg on the center of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (which creates stress on each revolution). This is equivalent to a sprint by Andre GREIPEL of 1700 watts at 100 rpm for 333 hours! This test is much more demanding than the current standard, the ISO 4210.

Bang for the dollar! for sports

Very happy with the purchase. I needed road bike pedals/cleats and almost went with the big S brand. I'm glad I tried them. They cost less and the interaction/vacation feel is great. The description is correct (unlike the pictures in the ad). Mine arrived ALL BLACK. With spikes! They come with gray 4.5 degree spikes. I didn't notice this in the ad, but they will most likely arrive as a tag in the LOOK field. So if you don't want them to be "announced" when they are delivered, be sure to ask for

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • Difficult to say

VS Shimano R540 good for parts and components

Between Shimano R540 and these, I definitely prefer this one. I have to say I like the Shimano cleat system a bit better, but the Keos are very stable in the same position and being composite they won't look like complete junk in a few months. Plus, and it's not as important as people think, but let's face it, we all care about specifying rights, they're easier. Whether this is a comparison between the more expensive Shimano and Look I can't say, but I would prefer it to a smaller than the…

Good upgrade. Good price

These pedals are replacements for some 20 year old LOOK Arc pedals. They are much lighter, easy to install and I appreciate being able to rotate the flex before the clamp comes off the pedal. I find this a great improvement over the fixed position of the Arc pedals. Hello, 20 years old. I didn't want to spend a lot of money as I don't know how much longer I will be riding but I had to replace the Arc and was very happy with the price of the Keo Classic 3. Can't comment on durability as it' I've

Check out the classic Keo3 pedals.

The first pair of these pedals I bought had a frozen pinch bolt and couldn't adjust the tension. (It was so cold my attempts to remove the bolt ripped off the hex socket in the bolt head!) Revain and the supplier replaced them no questions asked and I now ride happily and in perfect order. I used them on my road bike and liked them so much that I replaced them with the Look "Delta" pedals on my Peloton bike. The Keo is a big improvement over the original Delta (Peloton) pedals in my opinion…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

The best pedal system on the market. Also affordable!

Excellent pedals. They're lightweight, free-spinning, and install with an 8mm hex wrench, eliminating the need for a pedal wrench. Look pedals/cleats are easy to slip on and off and give you a wider platform to transfer power to the cranks than SPD or Speedplay pedals, and they're not as bulky as the SPD-SL. I personally prefer the non-floating black cleats because I don't like it when my feet turn left or right if I don't release them, but the gray cleats that come with the pedals work too…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Negative impression

No need to look for other pedals

I've just started cycling like real road bikes, not just recreational stuff here and there, and have done a lot of research on pedal and cleat systems. First of all, the pedals are of great importance. If you're on the fence, do it, you won't regret it. These pedals come with matching cleats so all you have to do is match your shoes. Look has a solid reputation for bike gear, and even their "cheap" stuff doesn't go to waste. I've ridden it for hundreds of miles and haven't had any problems. I…

Make sure you have an 8mm wrench

I was torn between these pedals and Shimano 105 pedals but eventually settled on the more budget friendly Look pedals. I'm happy with my purchase but I don't have any similar pedals to compare as these are my first clip on pedals of this type. Unlike other bike pedals I've bought, these attach to the spindles with a regular 8mm allen wrench; Perhaps useful for those who don't want to afford or don't have a bike pedal wrench, but it's a little frustrating that it doesn't come with it: I had to…

  • Delivery was very quick

  • Poorly thought out

More enjoyment for newcomers!

Like many over the past year, I'm new to cycling so this is my first time trying clipless pedals. I first bought a SHIMANO unisex-adult PD-RS500 (same $60) and after my first ride indoors the yellow rubber latch on the right cleat broke (didn't loosen but enough that the cleat had to be replaced). A friend suggested WATCH keo and I had to listen for the first time but now I see the light. As you can see from the pictures, the lugs on the Keo are a bit more compact but also have less rubber…
