Nice case but noisy fan

Not the nicest case but functional and generally works well. It also allows for pretty decent heatsinks - front and back of the Pi. The only problem is that the fan is pretty noisy. It's louder than the fans on my desktop to be honest. The problem is that it makes this clicking noise when running. I will definitely turn it off. However, it serves its purpose, the temperature has dropped to 10 degrees for me (from 42 ° C to 32 ° C). Although of course I have to buy a new fan.

Pros
  • Well made
Cons
  • Sad hardware

Perfect fit for ASUS Tinker Board

There's nothing wrong with that, it's perfect for an ASUS Tinker Board with the heatsink installed. This is the heatsink that came with the board and I measured it to be 8-9mm high (difficult to measure with a 12" plastic ruler once on the board). Anything above that probably won't work as it only cleans the fan shroud. The fan is audible but not noisy, at least for me, regardless of whether you connect the 3.3V or 5V pin, the difference between 3.3V and 5V was also barely noticeable. The case…

Love this Computer & Accessories sleeve

This sleeve slides in and out easily, the board is held securely with clips even without screws, but can be removed when needed without fuss or worry about damage the board to be removed or case. I also like the translucent side that allows you to still use the IR remote (if that's your thing) and see the LEDs on the board while you dim them VERY. I have Le Potato and they somehow managed to give this villain 3 mini suns. The fan is fairly quiet, but emits an electrical hum rather than the…

Really good case! Best in Computers & Accessories

Wow. Actually, I'm pleasantly surprised by this case. Having bought many different cases for my single board computers, I can say that this case really stands out from the rest. Despite the low price, this case doesn't look cheap at all. The plastic is high quality and very well made. All seams are aligned, everything fits together perfectly. There's plenty of room inside to fit an SBC of your choice (I've tested Raspberry Pi 3 B and Tinker Board) with heatsinks attached. The fan is powerful…

Functionality: Computer and Accessories

The case works as advertised, I bought 4 as I have multiple SBCs and all 3 different SBCs fit with no problems. it really regulates the temperature. My ambient temperature is somewhere in the 23°C / 73.4°C range. Some of the boards I have, like the Asus Tinker Board S, get pretty hot [Idle 45-55°C]. With high performance, it can be easily overclocked to 75°C/82°C without a case and with factory heatsink. As soon as I added this case, the temperature dropped exponentially. in idle at 35C and at…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • too dumb

Works well for Libre Le Potato and fits ODroid C2. Le Potato has the same layout as the RPi boards so it fits perfectly. The front cover leaves the IR sensor usable and dims the LEDs just enough to be visible but not distracting. If only Potato could run LibreElec without freezing all the time. So I went back to my C2 and wouldn't agree that this case can be called compatible. The C2's SD card is on the side that goes into the corner of the case and you cannot attach the C2 to the bottom of…

The fan is already buggy.

The case itself has a good design. It can be closed with screws or pressure. My main issue with this is that the fan breaks after a few months of use. Once this happens, there isn't enough airflow to keep the Raspberry Pi cool. Update: I ordered 2 different fans and none fit.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Some bugs

Good case, lousy fan

The case is good - the two halves close and open easily, unlike other cases that are difficult to open when closed. I'm giving it an "OK" rating just because the fan is pretty crappy. It's loud without moving much air. This will do the job, but it's annoying. I replaced the fan with another 30mm Pi fan. Much quieter and lets more air through. The two fans look exactly the same except for the sticker, but the included fan is somehow louder and weaker at the same voltage.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Nothing
