Caliper works great. It took a second to realize that you could unscrew one side by hand and the other by twisting, but everything went smoothly after that. I inserted a tool into the caliper, unscrewed a plate so it was tight against the pistons, and just twisted. All 4 pistons compressed in one minute. I can't believe how effective this was, especially for the price. I wish I had bought this sooner!

When choosing this tool, don't let the price fool you. The item is very durable and serves its purpose very well. My husband works on all our cars, we needed a new brake system and he also had to change the calipers. He ordered it and it arrived quickly and well packaged. He said he had paid more money for them in the past and they were junk but this press brake was cheaper, better quality and did the job perfectly. Highly recommended

I have 4-piston and 6-piston calipers on my car. My wife also has 4 pistons. This greatly simplifies their separation. The product works great without being finicky and the simple fact is that it can be used in almost any direction. Resetting is easy too, just flip a switch. I used to shoot with a hand tool from the local parts store, it's day and night. It also applies pressure evenly, so you don't have to worry if one set of pistons is pushed faster than the other. Excellent purchase.

Not really sure what happened to it. A great concept for a home mechanic, although it can be difficult to get started if your caliper is in an awkward position and you're doing the job yourself. I have always used clamps and sometimes they slip or have problems. I bought this to speed up the process and I will say that this tool is very easy to use. The only thing to note is that you want to manually rotate it between the brakes so it has a little bit of pressure. Or hold both sides firmly with your hands and the ratchet will work. I like this tool, it makes it a lot easier to squeeze the caliper piston in most cases. Just press the switch to compress and you simply snap the piston back. super easy. However, it took a while before you realized that it could break when you first used it. If there is no pressure, the pads will not move in or out.
