Good product "BUT BEWARE "

If you buy the Lowrance FS9 as listed on the site think you're getting an active target and a live oscilloscope, think again. Purchasing an additional converter and module to make only the active target work costs an additional $1,500. Live vision is also an addition. Otherwise a good device.

Pros
  • 9" MULTI-TOUCH SCREEN: The high-resolution 9" multi-touch screen is easy to use and install.
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

the device itself is good, but the converter does not work well.

The transmitter will not work at speeds much greater than 15 mph, followed all installation instructions and tried all suggested troubleshooting instructions but is not working at high speeds, googled and found information about this issue that most boaters have the same problems, i would recommend this product for a trolling motor installed in the front of the boat, it works fine at low speed.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Damaged used product

When I opened the package in the post pond I found that it was a used product and it still had the seal from the previous placement on the boat and also the tip screw holes We are damaged. She. Then I tried turning the device on just to see if it worked, but it wouldn't even turn on. I am totally disappointed in this product and the seller who sent a piece of junk.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Hope you don't need a warranty

I've bought 2 Lowrance units in the last 3 years and both are unusable. The first was 1 month out of warranty and was not asked to replace it under warranty. However, nothing changes for the second month of warranty, as the serial number has dissolved in water. They stamp the serial number on a PAPER STICKER on the part of the transducer that is submerged in water. NOT the dry end, but the end submerged in water. I provided them with the receipt and photos of the damaged converter and when I…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
