Gave it to the whole family this year after my husband's colleague witnessed an accident which involved them carving a man upside down off a truck in a pond. Really gives me peace of mind.

Great little tool! I tested the seat belt cutter and it works great! I didn't check the shards (there were no replacement lenses), but I'm happy with the purchase, I recommend it to all car owners

Looks pretty solid, great price. Bought one for each car, cheap insurance I hope you'll never need. Explained to teenagers how they work, but not verified for obvious reasons.

When life depends on it. They are quite small and light and require holes to be drilled in the car for the mounting bracket. However, it's better than nothing I think. It's small and compact. I'd love to try this, but I don't want to buy new seat belts or windshields, oooh. Perhaps an accompanying video showing actual usage would be handy.

Arrived as promised. Stored in a pocket on the driver's side. One of those things that might never be used but lives in the car just in case. Within reach of the driver when it is necessary to "escape” from the car. It's easy to grab in case you need to hack someone else's car in an emergency.

The product is as advertised. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I really don't think the blade will cut through anything (won't cut through a piece of cardboard) - has anyone tried maybe cutting an old seat belt to know ? The blade is similar to the X-Acto but not as good. Maybe it can be replaced with a good X-Acto blade?

But I wanted one for an extremely rare "just in case" situation. Maybe I've seen too many movies, but I don't want to be one of those people who, in an emergency, will cover their mouths and do nothing. I may never need it, but it's nice to know that I can help (or maybe save a life) in a dire situation. I put one in the car and the other in the motorcycle. Just in case.

The price of this set is excellent. One is in my car, the other is with my sister. I can even buy another set so each passenger in front of my car can quickly access one of these. I had the opportunity to cut the straps on a child car seat and the cutter did it quickly and effortlessly. I have this tool, some safety triangles, and a glow-in-the-dark triangle marker vest. Ready for road trips!
