Installed on my Dana 30 and 35 about 2 weeks ago, no leaks. It took about 25 minutes to remove the old RTV and less than a minute to install it compared to about 5 minutes to add the new RTV plus 1-2 hours to let it dry before tightening the screws became. Count, these pads will save you time and effort! I've read that they can be reused, but time will tell if I have the same experience. For the sake of simplicity, I would be willing to buy one every 30,000 miles to avoid the hassle of using an

Worked great on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler TJ (Dana 35)

The hardest part of installing this gasket was removing the residue left by the gasket. Then I covered the gears with a cloth and carefully removed the remaining seal from the housing and cover with 000 steel wool. I then cleaned everything with brake cleaner, installed that gasket and cover, and tightened all the bolts to the specified 30 feet. I repeated this for my front diff (Dana 30). I did this maintenance on May 27th, 2020 and I haven't lost a drop of fluid from them yet.

If you don't own stock in the company that makes the RTV or you never service your differentials, why not use this one? This is really the only way to drive when actually driving your SUV off-road, especially through deep water crossings, as you should flush the diffs as soon as possible after they've been submerged in water. And Lube Lockers makes changing transmission oil at least as easy and quick (if not more so) than changing engine oil because there's no more scraping, scraping, and…

Skip the RTV or crappy fiber seals

If you've ever spent time cleaning an old differential seal or sealant, do yourself a favor and get these instead. I have a Jeep TJ which means the differentials need fluid. change at least every two years if not every year and I can't tell you how much I HATE old baked RTV razor blades. So I figured I'll spend cabbage on these pods this time. No fuss, no fuss, freaked out, and after two weeks not a drop of gear oil has escaped. Yes, they're $20, which is about $16 more than a tube of RTV, and…
