Gasket Forever - Differential Cover

This is the third Lube Locker Gasket I have purchased. One for the 350 Turbo, one for the 700r4 and one for the rear of the 9" Ford. They all worked great! They cost a little more money!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Thin

Expensive but I think it was worth it.

So far, so good. This gasket was easy to install and as long as the bolts are tightened properly it will not leak. Two oil pan bolts came loose so I replaced them all. No leaks since installing new bolts.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Do not remove the gaskets several times yet

I had several problems with my 4l60e, as a result of which I pulled the oil pan several times. After the 3rd or 4th time you could tell that the o-ring on the seal was broken. I'll buy a new one and hope for the best.

Pros
  • Easy adjustment
Cons
  • There are some nuances

4L60E transmission to fit differential cover

This is a transmission pan gasket, NOT a differential gasket. Suitable for 4L60E. I love Lubelocker Pads! Have them on multiple vehicles, differentials and transmissions. There have never been any leaks. The extra cost is easily offset by not having to buy an RTV and not having to deal with the clutter!

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging

Best seals on the market

I've been using LL in my diff for a few years. I really like her. Apply a light coat of oil, install the gasket and tighten to the specified torque. They do not "creep" like rubber grommets and require multiple puffs. And because they're rigid, there's no need to use nails to hold the seal in place during installation. However, good surface preparation is crucial here. They should be smooth and free of other sealant/residue.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • boring packaging

Overpriced and Leaked!

If you want to buy a seal from a company specializing in leak seals, this seal is your choice! Surfaces were clean, level and dry. Tighten the new screws according to the diagram on the box. The RTV has not been used at all, just a clean DRY seal. I had to trust my instincts and go with Fel Pro. You have been my shop for many years. I think that's what I get when I try something new. Stay away and get Fel Pro!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Operating speed

Solved my leaks! on parts

I modified the transmission pan and due to the heat from the welding I had trouble getting it back in line no matter how hard I pounded it. The two smaller pads failed - they looked dry and tight when I first installed them, but after 1 or 2 heat/cool cycles they were both leaking like waterfalls. It's not as thick as I expected, but the metal core resists extrusion well, and the embedded silicone that also lines the screw holes is a nice touch (and probably helps a lot too).

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Mostly good but...
