📏 Accurate Measurement with Lufkin Inch Meters Power Tape Review

For sentimental reasons I was willing to pay $18.99 for the size, shape and metallic look. It turns out that it has no locking mechanism and is made of plastic. So play around but don't come back. The price dropped $2 after shipping but is still overpriced due to the plastic and lack of locks. I'm surprised the reviews are so good.

Great pocket tape measure after removing the belt clip. The only thing missing are the markings on each leg. I honestly don't know why this bothers me because when I measure cuts I still think in inches. In certain lighting conditions it can be difficult to see the markings. I like having a metric because I want to use it more often and get used to it. Other reviews say it's plastic but that doesn't seem to be true as the magnet sticks to it and no it doesn't stick to the tape inside.

I bought this as a backup for another Lufkin I've had for years. I have yet to find another tape measure that has both metric and US (no I won't call it a standard as only the US and Liberia use this system) measurements and names metric measurements in an easy to understand way. . In my work, we call measurements in millimeters, not centimeters, and that's exactly what this tape does. If only I could find a full size tape measure that does both as well as this one.
