Very cheaply made! You have to manually push the prongs it skips. Do yourself a favor and buy the metal version and save yourself a lot of trouble! I bought it as a gift and it was past the return period so I couldn't return it.

Bought two of these as gifts for those who are always busy with housework! They both thought it was really cool! The pins are difficult to move, which is good because they hold their shape. In general, I'm happy with the purchase, I'll unsubscribe after seeing it in action!

If you lean it against a door jamb or something similar, it won't maintain that contour and will move slightly. They could have added a few more adjustable pins to make it more solid so it would hold after measuring. Home Depot had one that was better.

The product handles corners and cuts fairly accurately, but cannot fix the teeth in the desired position. This meant that every time I installed it, if I wasn't careful with the handling, it lost its angle and had to be readjusted. This made the tool far less useful than intended.

It works well for pipe spacing for drywall cuts and works very well when trying to measure irregular sharp corners. Curves, on the other hand, are offset on the tool and your trace is the best guess, which I think is better than looking at them. I made the best of it by replacing the sheet under the sink after a water leak destroyed the back wall. The piping cutouts were in place, so this tool is valuable.

At first glance the thing is light and cheap - all plastic. But it works well and does exactly what it's supposed to. I don't know if every item that comes off the line is as tight as this one, but the pins move slightly when pressure is applied to corners etc and they hold their shape when transferred to a stencil surface. If handled well and not tossed in a heavy tool box, I expect this item to last for many years. It's not that the plastic is brittle; It's pretty heavy and you can drop it…
