Seems to be a lot of reviews here complaining about the thickness of the 7/16th’s pad being 1/4”. I feel that this is either a error in ordering or Revain bunching reviews from other products. The pad I received is high quality and the correct thickness. The rubber padding sticks to my wood floor like glue. Comes neatly wrapped but did not expand once opened and is only 1/4 inch and not 7/16 inch thick as stated. It is soft and can be trimmed easily with regular scissors. It does hold our 5x 8 area rug in place and gives slight cushioning but only as much as 1/4 inch can. There is no way this is nearly double the thickness that the description states. Was too much trouble to return so I kept it but if you’re looking for something thicker, this is not it.

I'll start first with the pad. The pad is made of well matted material allowing for comfort when walking on the rug. There is a noticeable difference between the rug having the pad and not having the pad. On the floor side of the pad there is a non-slip material that prevents the rug from sliding. Bought this for my sunroom where my 3 large dogs bolt in through the pet door and slide rug and all across the floor. NO MORE SLIDING! Seriously this is the only rug mat that stays, bought more for ALL over the house, every rug we have! My floors tile and hardwood are no longer dangerous!

A bit pricey but this is an excellent rug pad. Only photo I took was before I cut the pad to fit perfectly under my new area rug. My rug is 5’3” x 7’3”, so I had to order a 6’ x 9’ rug pad and then cut the pad, which I was able to do with no issues using regular scissors. It makes the rug extra plush under feet and the bottom is rubber so it keeps it from sliding. Highly recommend!

The rug pad is thick and sound absorbent for older hardwood floors. My reason for a 4 rating: it slides if unanchored and 2) it was very difficult to cut vs. the instructions that it was easy. A regular scissors, as suggested, are not great, even though doable.

Put this under my 10 x 13 living room rug, and it's lovely and adds cushion and comfort, was at a good price point and feels high quality. I like that it's no slip on my hardwood floors. Final star is because the customer service team was really nice and helpful.

Adds softness and very comfortable to step on or even to sit on the floor. It’s really 3/8” thick, but it worked out fine as it is very dense. It will protect wood floor well, especially from any spills. I am happy with this choice. A thousand times better than using those thin foam grids.

This was my VERY first purchase of a rug pad from this company - Rug Pad USA, and I and very VERY happy with it. Why. 1) the fair price 2) the excellent quality of felt and the non-slip rubber bottom 3) the choice in choosing the thickness of the pad, such as the 1/2", 1/4" and I believe 1". I got the 3x5 1/4" thickness for a wool oval rug and very please that I did. I would love to get the much larger size pads for my huge wool oval rugs, but that's for the future. This is one of the best rug pads I have ever purchased! Very, very pleased with this product and will purchase other sizes from this company. So glad I found it. Using it on tile, instead of hardwood floors, and works fine! No problems at all. Thank you for a great product !

I had to reorder some other non-slip pads. These were just too thick, which made the rugs easy to trip over. The product is very well made, and I like the fact that it was made in the USA. I chalk this mistake up to me. The dimensions are clearly indicated; I just thought the rugs would be flatter and closer to the floor. If you like a thicker pad, then I would not hesitate to order this pad,

Pleased to say how successful this rug pad is --! It is a good thickness, and adds a new comfortable plush feeling to the rug it sits under. The felt is dense, and doesn't just compress to nothing-ness --. Described as 1/4" thick, the pad is that, but it stands up, and so feels thick --. The rubber backing smells terrible out of the box, as you might imagine, but I tossed it in the garage for a day before I brought it inside, and the smell was largely gone --. I recommend this pad --!

Durable, thick pad. Holds area rug in place and added thickness enhances the feel underfoot. I was worried it might create a tripping hazard, but it does not at all. Great product!
