Effective Weatherstripping for Commercial Doors

This weatherstripping did an excellent job at keeping out drafts and reducing air flow in my industrial workspace. The adhesive backing was strong and easy to install. The resulting improvement in energy efficiency was noticeable almost immediately.

Pros
  • Effective and easy to install
Cons
  • Limited color options for aesthetic purposes.

Not enough to work the entire door frame

Doesn't feel as hard as the old stuff I removed and it wasn't enough to work the entire door frame for a standard 32 inch -Door to edit. Who knows how long this thing will last. For a long-term solution, it may be more economical to purchase more expensive solid brass. The brass thing seems to last longer. But if you just need a quick/temporary fix. OK

Pros
  • Tools & Housewares
Cons
  • Older model

Must be thicker metal

This is an older type of shield that does the job but can be a bit tricky to install. This appears to be made of thin bronze, so it bends and deforms easily. This can be difficult to nail down with the nails provided to get an accurate straight line. Then bend the metal down from the nailed edge to clean the edge of the door. Thin metal can leave small gaps (wavy) along the edge of the door so the seal may not be perfect, just better than a 1/4 inch gap without anything.

Pros
  • Shield
Cons
  • Drill Pack
