Very good seal if not overtightened! Torque the bolts to 67 in-lbs the first time because the gasket recommended in the book didn't leak well. On my second gasket, I used a 1/4 ratchet and tightened it snugly to stop leaks.

The gasket was a perfect match for the new oil pan I had to buy. The old pan was original, had 340,000 miles on it and the plug started leaking. I'd say it fits perfectly, but the original pan didn't have a gasket, just sealant on the pan.

Perfect for a 2002 Toyota Sienna minivan. There are no more oil leaks in the oil pan. The installation as a whole did not cause any difficulties. The hardest part was removing the oil pan from the car. I had to use a metal scraper to push it into the old RTV and remove the pan. Also pay attention to the tightening torque during assembly. Mine was 69 inch pounds. Excessive torque can damage the screws and/or the aluminum base.

If your 1MZ engine has a (very treatable) carbon problem, this gasket is a good, cheap short-term solution if you have to constantly remove the oil pan. Between cleaning cycles on my 02 Sienna mud monster, this old-school seal held up pretty well, giving enough time to complete a thousand-mile mud removal process without having to close the headache every time.
