not suitable for computers and accessories

I have ordered many of these from Amazon and Ebay, the first time I had problems. 2 out of 4 weren't programmed, didn't even light up. However a good product. you shouldn't have to send them back. EDIT: Ordered another set, none of them connected to wifi. They're programmed, but I don't have a power indicator.

love these things. in computers and accessories

I love these things. You can use 4 I/O pins. GPIO-0 and GPIO-2 are labeled and ready to use, but you can use GPIO-1 and GPIO-3 (TX/RX) if you prefer. I replaced the SPI flash chip with a W25Q32FVSIG which increases the flash by 1MB. Memory up to 4MB (32MB) like most regular ESP8266 modules. This made it easier to use OTA updates and freed up space for SPIFFS files. I used a heat gun to remove the old chip, apply some flux, install the new chip and heat it until it starts to flow. All 4 worked…

Perfect for my projects.

These small boards are well suited for projects that require small physical size and low power consumption. And they easily connect to sensors like the DHT11 or DHT22. I also used them to drive WS2812B RGB LEDs. I've ordered 2 sets so far with no problems. A NOTICE. If you're ordering this as your first attempt at programming the ESP8266, you'll need a few more parts - a breakout board, a 3.3V USB serial port board, a breadboard, and some wire (22ga). To blink them you need a circuit with some…

The task is to move.

I have never worked with an ESP8266 but after a few hours of research I decided to give it a try. It took almost a day to figure out how to connect via serial port and send AT commands. After finishing this part, I knew I had a few more hours to spend on the Arduino IDE programming examples, and I was ready to start the real work. I already have more ideas than WLAN modules. So far I've killed one of the 5 volt modules but if the others hold up I'll be sure to order more in the future.

All problems are solved and this product works 100%.

I've spent a lot of time troubleshooting and reading blogs. These are great products, I did NOT want to discourage users from using this product. Flash memory chips seem to require a little more power. So instead of 3.3VDC use 3.6VDC. That's all! Easy! Easy! BUT 3.3V DC can be used in operation. currently. To be honest this is NOT marketed as more than a modem chip. from them again. They were great to work with and they will contact you to resolve any issues that may arise. I was able to…

Love it on Computers & Accessories

High quality circuit boards, work great. Reasonable price for fast shipping from USA. Thanks very much! I use it as a WiFi button. Press the button for a second and a message will be sent to my web server. From there I can do anything (enable one or more smart plugins, send a tweet, send an email, run a script - or all of the above). Total price with case and batteries is about $10. They are a lot of fun to work with and easy to program with the Arduino software development tool. Edit: I…
