Mann-Filter HU 719/8 X Oil Filter - Metal-Free Variant Review

Made in Mexico, better than Germany. They fit perfectly and are of very good quality, not like European ones. I would recommend this filter to all my friends.

I've used Mann a few times in the past. I also compared them to OEM filters. Other than the OEM brand name on the filter, you can't tell the difference. Good price, good quality. This is just my opinion, but I also don't recommend waiting 10,000 miles to do an oil change. So I usually go through 2 of them a year. Fast delivery

I found out about MANN filters when I bought a Volvo S40. Then I found out that they make MANN filters for most cars. You can just tell by looking at these filters that they are better than most. I use synthetic oil in all of my cars, although oil can go over 7,000 miles it's hard to find a filter that lasts that long. Despite heavy soiling, these MANN filters still look very good after 10,000 km. I also replaced all my air filters with MANN filters. Can't say enough good things about MANN.

Similar to the OEM filter. Manufactured by Mann-Filters (like the original) but this one is made in Mexico, the OEM dealer installed a Volvo Mann filter which I removed which was made in Germany. By all accounts this is a 5 star filter but gave it 4 stars because while it is identical it is not made in the same country as the original. Seems like MANN is following the path of other filters. One is made in Germany, the other in Mexico. Both should be ONE FILTER. The Mexican is about 2 mm shorter and has fewer wrinkles. Even the stitching at the junction of the pleats is different. I've used several corporate filters over the past fifty years, but many have stopped using corporate filters because they didn't work.
