Mann-Filter Fuel Filter WK 853/3 X Review

Arrived on time as described and works as a filter. Installation was easy. I would recommend this filter to a friend or relative.

I replaced a 15 year old filter with this new one in about 10 minutes. The hardest part is removing the rubber hoses from the nipples. Be sure to drain the old filter before throwing it away. I was very happy with this filter and our Golf 2000 TDI loves it!

Fits like a glove and improves flow instantly! I recommend running it on cetane and old fuel until the new filter is full and almost full. If you want to start it, you have to shoot around immediately. The quality looks good. The function is good.

Small leak in thermocouple. I removed the o-rings and installed the o-rings that were on my previous filter and then it didn't leak. I'm not sure if it was o-rings or just a short between my brain and my hands. Up close, all the o-rings looked the same. The lesson is, maybe don't throw away your old o-rings until you're sure you're not leaking.

I bought this filter and couldn't use it right away. In fact, it took me 5 months to install it. If you discover a defect after the 30-day return period has expired, it will not be accepted. It was a manufacturing defect. They do not care. Your warranty is void regardless with a 30 day return policy. My rating is solely based on the company's ability to take responsibility for a defective product. You don't want to see it and your only regret is that you didn't return it within 30 days.

The more important thing to know is how to replace this filter, so here are a few tips: - The U-clamp on the filter housing is a special type of double square drive. Notch on the screw to loosen it.
