Manos Silk Blend DK is a luxury soft blend of merino and silk. It's light, soft and silky to the touch and has a lovely drape when knitted. Hand dyed in large kettles to create a marbleized, multi-tonal effect. No two skeins are exactly alike and there are no dye lots. The Manos Cooperatives are a part of the World Fair Trade Organization and every hank of Manos yarn you purchase helps a woman in Uruguay support her family!. HAND DYED: Each skein is hand dyed and therefore unique. There is no other quite like it. Images are representative of the color but there may be small differences between skeins due to the hand dyed nature of the yarn. MATERIALS: 70% Extra Fine Merino 30% Silk; YARDAGE: 135m/148 yards per 50g ball. NEEDLES: US 4 (3.50mm / UK 10). GAUGE: 22-24 sts in 10cm / 4in.

Fits great and doesn't fall apart.

I've bought them in almost every color and am ordering more. It's light, warm and doesn't itch. Fits great and doesn't tear. this is my favorite yarn

Short Skein in Knitting & Crochet

Love yarn but skein wasn't enough. What I knitted was meant for 1 skein of this yarn but it wasn't enough to complete the project. I like yarn though. I don't know if they go by weight or how, but a different color of the same yarn was enough to finish the same project.

Nice yarn but big color difference

The colors of the two skeins are very different, one light and the other very grey. I understand they are hand dyed but that makes knitting the project I have planned impossible or very difficult when I have to change skeins of yarn. I wonder if one should have taken care to look carefully before grabbing them.

Just average. Nice but not impressed.

Not a bad yarn but not quite what I was hoping for. The colors in my skein were very muted and cloudy. (Maybe I just got an odd job of paint?) I made a hat first and the colors just didn't match properly. The drape and feel are fine - I've found a cheaper yarn that works better. I probably won't buy yarn online from A anymore. I think I need to see the colors and feel the fibers in everything I buy.
