So Easy to Use - Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

My husband and I are passionate weekend cookers and love to cook 'around the world'. Italian is one of our favorites, but we've never made pasta ourselves. I finally decided on this car and it opened up endless possibilities for me! We have already prepared ravioli, fettuccine, tortellini and all this is easy and perfect without the slightest difficulty. I'm so glad we went with a motorized machine as it frees both hands and makes it really easy to handle the pasta sheets with all the settings!

Solid, durable, easy to use.

I thought it would be difficult to use and difficult to make noodles. I had many questions but they all went away as soon as I started using it. I found a simple pasta recipe online. I used 75% RO flour and 25% semolina flour. It only took 5 minutes to prepare the dough. I set aside half the dough to practice making the lasagne and spaghetti sheets. Trust me, you don't need a lot of practice. For me, the hardest part was making the lasagna sheets wide enough. Then I make my first batch of…

Ideal for bean flour dough. The stand should be higher.

Not only dough made of wheat flour needs to be rolled out thinly, there are also many noodles made of other materials - buckwheat flour (udon), rice flour, bean flour, etc. Personally, I had to roll out the chickpea and bean dough to avoid papadas which are usually rolled into a thin circle about 150 mm (6 inches) in diameter. I have a pasta attachment for a stand mixer but even on the lowest speed it ripped the dough apart so I decided to try a hand held roller. The Atlas 180 does the job and…

Beautiful, delicious handmade pasta

I had never made pasta from scratch until I got the Marcato Atlas 180. I followed the base ratio recipe and mixed 2 eggs with 200g of flour and then kneaded for about 5 minutes. Minutes before I felt it was right. Flattened him and started driving through Marcato. My daughter was dying to help, so she spun around while I fed the noodles. We finished leveling at level 5 and then cut it out for the fettuccine. Cooked and served with delicious sauce. rave reviews. Why only 4 stars? I think this…

This pasta machine is the BOMB!

Bought for my birthday :). I've always wanted to learn how to make pasta and after reading all the reviews I decided on this one. So happy I did. Very easy to use. I played around with the dough recipe and after watching a few videos on YOUTube I finally found a dough that is easy to make in a food processor and easy to work with too. RECIPE: 3 large eggs (room temperature). 2 cups all-purpose ground (no need to bother with flour. Regular works great). Place flour in stand mixer, pulse a few…

Great quality, easy to use, worth the money.

I bought this knife to replace a KitchenAid noodle knife that burned my motor while making ramen noodles, which seem to be tougher than egg noodles. I bought the basic model which comes with a roller, handle, spaghetti attachment and clip. A motor is available as an add-on, but don't worry - the base unit is great! The clip has a notch to secure it in the socket of the device. You'll need a spacer at the bottom if you don't mind marking the bottom of the rack you're attaching it to. Also, the…

Nice Machine - Power Chord Issue

I have an old Atlas 150 that I bought about 30 years ago and it still works great. I bought this one because I wanted one with a motor and my old one doesn't have motor mounting holes. Since I have the old one I can do a direct comparison with this one and as far as I can tell the quality stays the same. There are slight differences, for example the fingers that scrape the paste from the knives and the rollers on the bottom are metal on the old Atlas, while this one is plastic. The fingers of…

Great device! Successful first try! WOW!

After careful consideration, I decided on this model because of the many positive reviews. Other than that, my only criticism is the sparse instructions and recipes in the instruction manual. The photos were helpful but the English instructions were vague and a bit confusing. Otherwise I am very satisfied with this device. I went with the larger model because it was only marginally more expensive and I'm so glad I did as the extra diameter was more forgiving when handling dough. Although I…
