Need White for Sports

Marine Tex can be a great product. I ordered white, the seller didn't specify it would be dark grey. White is required and Marine Tex is usually white. The seller should specify the color more conspicuous.

Pros
  • Excellent Construction
Cons
  • Does Not Fit All

Great for hot tub repairs

Works great for cracked hot tub repairs. This product is dark gray to black in color. The color is not specified on the packaging. I had read other reviews before purchasing so this was not a surprise. I would like to suggest specifying the color of the product.

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Almost OK

Color not indicated on packaging

Attention: The color of the product is not specified anywhere on the packaging! I ordered white but got grey. The company refunded the money in full so there are no issues. From what little I've mixed it seems as hard as granite. I don't know how it holds up to drilling, tapping, etc; but my little test drop seems pretty strong.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Defects present

This material is tuff and works easily.

Cool thing for plastic repair - my bet. It's nice to get this smaller amount rather than a liter which can dry up a few years after opening. The sands are very easy to shape and very tuffy. I have repaired ABS motorcycle bodies with this product and it has NEVER failed when mixed properly.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Marine Tex should not be missing in any workshop!

Marine Tex is a fantastic material and this quick drying product works very, very well. I'm used to the original Marine Tex taking a long time to dry before it can be sanded and varnished. This stuff really saves time and works just as well. I've filled a few screw holes in molded plastic (and fiberglass), sanded and painted, all in a very short amount of time. You can find so many uses for it.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Some Little Things

Great product - GRAY not white

If you don't read the description carefully you may miss the fact that this product is actually GRAY. I ordered this product in a hurry thinking it was a quick drying version of the regular Marine-Tex used for boat hulls etc. This is the GRAY version, used for cars, invisible areas, etc. Despite the fact that the color is not clearly stated, the product is actually very good and works exactly as described.

Pros
  • Useful not only for intended purpose
Cons
  • A few minor things

Works great for filling in small nicks and chips.

Excellent for repairing small scratches and chips in the fiberglass gelcoat on a 50 year old MGB hardtop that I am restoring/preparing to paint. I also used a larger, longer cure Marine Tex epoxy putty to lubricate a few fiberglass worn areas where the fiberglass strands were showing, and a 1/4" deep, 2" long notch in the top back edge of the hardtop. . All in all fantastic products.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised

Works great for me.

probably stuck a nail out of the dock I used recently. As I got out of the water I found I had a nice chip just above the u-bolt on the nose. This product was suggested to me, so I gave it a try. It was easy to use and easy to apply. It started to harden very quickly, so make sure you're really ready to use it before you mix it, and then work steadily as it will start to harden quickly. It's easy to sand and paint, although I haven't sprayed it yet. Ready. I've been on the water ever since and…

Pros
  • is understandable even for the old
Cons
  • operating speed

Good material but black

This is a pretty good and fast curing epoxy. I have used it on the threads of some of the bolts I have fitted to my boat's transom and expect them to be strong and well sealed with this material. my boat With the right studs for the application, I find it is just as strong, if not stronger, than driving a screw into fiberglass. I would like to point out one thing: this material is black. The packaging doesn't mention the color I saw and from the outside you would think this material is white. I

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • It's ok
