Great omnidirectional sound, long battery life

Bought this speaker to replace my Denon Envaya dsb-250bt. The Denon was draining the battery for no reason, a known defect of this speaker. This speaker has the best sound quality and is omnidirectional so it sounds good no matter where you are in the room. The battery lasts much longer and really holds a charge. The bass and treble controls do make meaningful changes to the sound, but subtle enough that it never sounds bad. Bluetooth connection and disconnection noises are a little annoyingโ€ฆ

Crops the beginning of each song, support says this is "on purpose ".

This device's firmware detects silence for a few seconds and goes into "trying to figure out which connection to use" mode, where no sound is played. When you start playing music again, the device takes a full second to figure out what input it's coming from (even if the input hasn't changed), and it cuts off the first few beats of the song. Playing songs one after another means the intro of EACH song will be cut off. I mainly use this speaker with a 3.5 mm jack (AUX input); I've experienced it

Worth every penny! Reliable portable speaker. And this is a marshal. Oh well.

Like I said it's Marshall, I was pretty sure they wouldn't let their branding with a crappy speaker. However, I was very wary of spending that kind of money on a portable bluetooth speaker. The biggest review point that kept coming up was how low the volume was, and it didn't happen until you turned the volume knob up to about 8/10 before it actually worked. And they are absolutely right! But I find this non-linear way of volume control more of a plus than a minus. Think about it, it gives youโ€ฆ

Front and rear driver "360 " is king ๐Ÿ‘‘

I spend hours searching the web for reviews and YouTube videos and information on buying audio/video/PC accessories. 100 to 200.) I bought a Stockwell II from WHD for 140 and it is by far the best BT speaker in my small collection. Basically it is a big difference to Divoom Outdoor2. The sound is FULL and the built in EQ is a real luxury. The bass is balanced, not boomy! Not cloudy! Very clean. For those who don't know, the Outdoor2 and Stockwell II have drivers both in front of and behind theโ€ฆ

Wow! Just wow! on Portable Audio & Video

This Marshall Stockwell portable bluetooth speaker blew me away in a way I wasn't expecting. Let's jump straight to class D amps. Most people won't know what a Class D amp is, what it does and why it's better - and indeed, some people will complain about a Class D amp's "fault", or maybe not, quite a " Mistake". but one thing is clear. Class D amplifiers are not linear. That means if you increase it (or decrease the resistance) the class D amp won't get louder in a straight line. It'sโ€ฆ

#1 in my Homebrew Face to Face Competition Comparefest

Was nervous at first because all the reviews seemed to be from reviewers who got the product for free. It's not that their reviews aren't accurate, but I didn't want to buy a Bluetooth speaker at this price point and knowing if the performance would justify the cost was a big part of the purchase decision for me. Long story short, I tested this speaker against several other highly rated buletooth speakers in the $50-$75 range just to make sure that Stockwell's price isn't just based on theโ€ฆ
