You cannot buy multiple locks with the same keys. How stupid of Master Locke. What happened to the sellers these days. If I were the CMO, which I'm not, it would be natural for every product line. Probably a young computer geek who had never used a lock. Just his stupid backpack.

The rubber stopper that covers the keyhole is missing from my "new" lock. a small battery powered portable grinder so I don't think it's as safe as advertised. I think all padlocks are equally vulnerable. However, this will deter an honest thief.

Not bad for a Chinese lock. I had very few options because my chain links are 1" thick so I needed 2" space to fit 2 links. My chain is too thick to even fit 4ft bolt cutters on it so the lock itself remains the weakest point, but I don't know if it can be cut without checking and possibly breaking it, which I didn't want to do . buy another one There were much better locks but at a prohibitive price.

Apparently in an attempt to deter shoplifting, the packaging makes it nearly impossible to remove the keys from the box. There is no guide for this. In just a month the lock begins to rust. The stains are coming from the underside of the lock, indicating internal components are to blame. The lock also features a ball bearing as part of the locking mechanism, which is only held in place by a layer of grease. The ball bearing falls out of my lock almost every time I open it. Fantastic design with a heavy hardened steel body and an incredibly strong and thick shackle secured by a ball bearing locking mechanism. Unfortunately, this design is somewhat let down by a rather basic five-pin core. You can turn it into the best lock Master Fast makes by replacing the core with one of the inexpensive Master 410 plastic case tags (ASIN B00192092C) which has six equal sized security pins in the core.
