They work very well - use on fairly dry herbs

They work very well - use on fairly dry herbs. If the herbs are too wet, the scissors will tend to crush them instead of cutting them.

Makes cutting herbs easier

I liked these shears so much I bought them for my mother-in-law. I love how it makes chopping up herbs for soups, salads and salsa easier. The price is also very economical.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

Suitable for cutting food

Ideal for cutting herbs quickly. If you need to make very thin cuts it will probably take longer than just using a cutting board and knife, but I find it quick and useful for slicing food.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • thin

Useful Herb Scissors

These scissors are ideal for fresh herbs! But be careful when cleaning; It's sharp and I cut my finger a bit. The scissors come with a small brush to clean the blades. It is not recommended to clean with your fingers!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

It's much easier than hacking!

This is a great invention and I wish it came sooner. I use loads of fresh herbs and that makes them so quick and easy to prepare. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because basil leaves tend to get stuck in different layers of cutting blades, but they can be pulled out on the outside edges of the blade and used once removed.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Long wait

GOOD PRODUCT! for cutlery and knife accessories

I saw your advertisement in a magazine and decided to give it a try. After years of cutting grass (painfully!) with kitchen scissors, I am amazed at how much work and time these scissors save. I always make tabulli salad for special occasions. Chopping parsley and mint has always been a chore. Using these scissors cuts the prep time by more than half. I just love it!

Pros
  • understandable even for old people
Cons
  • some little things

Not worth buying: Kitchen and dining room

Orka Mastrad A26208 5-blade herb scissors Herbs cling to the scissors more than they went into the bowl. I spent way too much time taking the herbs out of the scissors and then just slicing them. I then tried it on other veggies thinking it might cut them, but no luck with anything. Pinching herbs is easy enough, I don't know why I thought I needed them, but they just didn't do the job. I usually like what I buy. I'm sad to say that you can't get a good rating from me.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons

Herbs instantly clog these scissors

I took a chance and unfortunately as other reviewers have said the herbs I cut with these scissors instantly clog the blades and require a small plastic cleaning tool. After a few tries, it's not worth it in the end. I'd rather use regular scissors to pluck the herbs and then a knife to chop them up. FYI, I've tried cilantro and scallions, but I think basil will score just as well. Maybe something savory like sage would work better? Or less like thyme? Final verdict, thumbs down (in concept)…
