It took me 15 minutes to install them!

Very easy installation. Gets the job done in about 15 minutes. Now my 2007 Toyota Matrix tailgate works like new! The retaining clips MUST NOT be completely removed. Just slide them out of the way to allow the shocks to attach to the ball joints. Then simply slide the retaining clips back into place. It couldn't be easier!

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Problem

Terrible broken squeak.

We delayed your installation and missed your return window. They drove my (83 year old) mother hatchback. She never complained so I didn't know they were creaking until I opened her car. You are flawed. Very loud creaking when opening. Terrible sound. They're strong enough to hold the hatch open, which is an important part. That's probably why she didn't complain.

Pros
  • beautiful item
Cons
  • slightly torn

Initially skeptical.

I am concerned about some of the ratings breaking or squeaking loudly. I had this experience with another one I previously ordered from another seller that was cheaper. I think you get what you pay for. But they were great, maybe I got lucky and got a good pair.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Updates available

Don't waste your money

It does not work, this is my hydraulic window regulator you are looking for to replace your current window regulator supplied for Toyota Matrix. Don't waste money. I tried asking the company for help. Their support email doesn't work and 888# works directly with voicemail. Just saying I wish I had known that before I bought this item. I bought it a year before trying to install it, so it's too late to ask Revain for a refund.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Requires socket

Not recommended: see update

Perfect fit for my Toyota Matrix 05. The tailgate is easy to open again! Update 2 Jul 20-19: After just a few months these gas struts started making a horrible squeak. They open well but the noise is terrible. Heads turn in every parking lot when I open my tailgate. It's been 2.5 years and they still make that horrible noise. The car doesn't drive much, so I tend to forget about it. I would not recommend this brand at all.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Very strong! Good work!

Two different sets of braces are used for the Toyota Matrix rear sunroof. One set of spacers for the entire tailgate - they work great for that. Very strong stands. It takes 2 minutes to change them. literally. The rear window actually uses a similarly long but much weaker pair of struts - and that's a different part number. DO NOT attempt to use them on a rear window - you will likely break something trying to compress the window with the spacers attached.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Interchangeable
