I bought this hard drive to back up my laptop as I plan to use the software that came with it as a tool for that. Setting up the hard drive was actually very easy, and using it is also very easy. Within a month of purchasing this drive, before I even had to fill it halfway, it spontaneously failed. It is no longer recognized as formatted and I have tried unsuccessfully to get my data back. It wasn't overloaded either, since I didn't write any sector more than 3 times.
