Boston commuter tires are an important safety factor. An apartment on the street is not an option. These tires are fat and grip the road. Combined with anti-puncture hoses, it's a great addition to my safe commute to work. I'll add that if you're considering folding them, you may need to file down the chainstays to make room for the wider tire, which I had to do since my frame design is narrow. The tires are rated for 110psi and you have to use that.

I bought these tires to replace my Kenda Quest which has had a flat tire 5 times in 6 months. Hookworms are so tough and thick that they come in a giant box because they don't fold. These are strong, durable tires. Which brings me to my next point: the stiffness makes these tires HARD to mount. It took me over an hour to put them on properly. If you have small hands or are short on time, just take them to your local bike shop.

Can't say enough good things about the grip and durability of this tire. While the other tires I've used slipped through the wet streets of Seattle, this one never came off the wet cobblestones we have here. Plus, with a max pressure of 125psi, it's tough enough to support 400 pounds on my Edgerunner rear wheel. I haven't been able to destroy any of these hookworms yet, but I'll definitely try. I have used the "Primo" "The Wall" tire for over a decade for its durability. Although Ankylostoma has been around for a long time, I only tried it now because of the low price.
