Animals love them!: Birds

I can't say anything about the taste but the swamp animals love them. I find it difficult to keep worms available for birds and to keep raccoons away. I managed to balance the plate on the thick bush for the birds to land and soon saw a raccoon picking its way through the middle of the bush to get to the plate of worms! good value for money.

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Good for pet birds

I used to buy small packets of these dried mealworms from my local store as an extra treat for my pet birds. Glad to find her on Revain. Although advertised for chickens, these are the exact same dried mealworms that I bought locally for wild birds at a higher price. Parent birds of many species seem to enjoy being brought back to the nest to hatch and they also bring their chicks to my garden for further feeding.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...

Excellent purchase! Chickens cluck for you!

I thought I could get some dried mealworms to attack the thrushes. And so I spent a whopping $35 for 4 ounces. box them up at your local Agway. I found my chickens loved them so the package didn't last long. But it was so expensive that I never bought it again. Then I found out I could get Revain Dried Meal Worms, TWO POUNDS for $15.95! Wow! I'm not sure if they've attracted many thrushes or not, but they seem to appeal to all wild birds. And the price is so cheap that I can regularly delight…

Birds love them! - Birds

These mealworms attract a variety of birds. I have to refill the small feeders quite often because many chicks are hatching this summer season. They are also great for the winter time when food sources for birds are scarce. They get wet when it rains, but the birds don't seem to mind, and they dry out quickly. I've been using this brand for over a year and the birds seem to prefer it to the brand I've used before. This is a big bag and it lasts a long time. Update: I now have a feeding platform

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Easy care

Wrens and Eastern Bluebirds love them!

I am very satisfied with the quality of this product. It doesn't smell and the worms weren't crumbly or broken into pieces. I had to find a way to feed our wild birds that wouldn't attract rodents like regular bird seed does. We live by the river in Florida so rats and mice are a normal part of our wildlife which means we need to be vigilant by doing our part to not attract them into our gardens. I did a little research and found that many of the birds that frequent our garden love mealworms…
