Better buy the cheapest Harbor Freight tape. I thought I'd get a good cassette for a good price. Should have known better. I've used it maybe a dozen times. It came out of the blue (the tape flew out). I have never dropped or bumped it. It just appeared out of nowhere. I can retrieve it about a foot and make sure it stays locked. Well done but the hardest roulette I've ever read. The first 25ft Kutir tape ended up having no magnetism as advertised. There were 2 magnets present but not magnetic. Revane quickly replaced the roulette with a roulette with working magnets. Excellent customer service. Being right-handed, the metric side shows the user measuring from left to right. This is a 5 star tape measure if it ever existed. The weight and the handle make it easier to work with and the shape of the case fits my hand perfectly. It has a bit of weight but just the right amount. These magnets are so strong that they also stick to door hinges that have been painted over several times (see picture). The big hooks at the end are a nice size but a bit slippery, although the hooks go up and down which is a big bonus. It's stiff enough to easily extend 8 feet without bending over, and the numbers are on either side of the band so it's easy to measure under things, too. Fractions are also printed on one side. If you're unfamiliar with the metric system, SOL, but for me I often use whatever is more convenient (50 cm is always better than 19 7/16 inches). Sliding back and forth is a nice feeling.

I really didn't want to give these wonderful tape measures (bought 2) less than 5 stars but I had to.
