Description of 🩹 MedVance TM Foam: Waterproof Non-Adhesive Hydrophilic Foam Dressing (6"x6") - Box of 5 Dressings

FOAM WOUND DRESSING: MedVance Foam is a non-adherent polyurethane foam dressing that does not stick to the wound bed. The porous structure facilitates faster and stronger absorbent capacity and provides a moist wound healing environment. PROMOTES HEALING: Our foam wound dressing pads offer effective absorbency for wounds with moderate exudate. They are comfortable to use and provide the optimal environment to promote healing. COMFORTABLE USE: Conforms to body contours and provides maximum patient comfort. The foam dressing works well on wounds with moderate exudate. Does not stick to the wound to prevent secondary damage and can be cut to size for those difficult areas. STERILE AND INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED: Each dressing is manufactured in a sterile facility and are individually wrapped to prevent contamination of wounds. Can be used in hospitals, senior care homes, hospice, and other medical facilities. MULTI-USE: Effective for applications such as post-operative wounds, bed sores, cysts, pressure ulcers, burns, and other minor traumas. Approved for Level II of the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS). Use code A6210 for billing/claims.

Not suitable for bandage pads

This product is a replica of the excellent Smith and Nephew bandage. Looks similar but sticks to the wound and slows healing.

Pros
  • Bandages and supplies
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

You are right - not sticky but still thick

Not sticky so be sure to have a bandage and/or gauze handy to bandage or bandage the wound quickly to keep the foam from falling off . You really should have sterile barriers or a towel or something similar under your limbs during dressing changes in case the foam falls off. You don't want him touching the floor or bed, which also harbors bacteria, viruses, and fungi, which can get onto the foam if he touches those surfaces.

Pros
  • Dressing Pads
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

This bandage is great for relieving wound pain!

I have been trying to cope with leg ulcers for 2 months. 1 ER visit, 4 doctor visits and $5,000 later. no doctor has suggested FOCUSING ALSO ON CURING THE DISEASE ITSELF! I was excreting maybe 2 cups or more of serum per day from my 3 ulcers (yellowish to clear liquid) covering a total of 20 square inches of all 3 ulcers. Walked around the house with a folded towel wrapped around a bare corner, changing it every few hours. Until now, I never realized how awful and painful leg ulcers can be. I…

Pros
  • gauze and pads
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
