Do not do that! - Exterior care

Dries too fast! It's a cool day with no sun and as soon as I've got it on I'm going to dry it. The RV looks awful and even a coat of wax won't save it. run away

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Shine, shine, shine

This product works. Used after cleaning with HD Oxidation Cleaner. The gelcoat looks brand new and has heavy streaks left over from someone washing the camper in the hot sun. The effort was worth it and everything was done by hand.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Excellent quality for hull care

Who cares what it changes on the surface of my boat. After buying my boat this year, the previous owner couldn't keep up with the exterior finish. After using the oxidation remover and applying this bottle to my hull, the color of the boat improved a lot.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some cons

Tinkerers on board at Exterior Care

I've seen a few brands a YouTuber uses for boat detailing. Used compound and wool pads, it looked better and then polish was added but the improvement was negligible. The boat is over 40 years old so not surprised. it looks better than it was. Looking forward to trying this out on a newer neighbor's boat.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • I have no bad feelings about it, everything is fine

Terrible product, save your money! Stay away! Polish terrible

complete nonsense! I've been detailing professionally for 10 years, all Oxidation Remover does is leave deep swirl marks! And with paint, complete nonsense. Applied in a cool shade, it can no longer be removed. Fiberglass blurred with a little-known shine! I'm waiting for a refund and I'm getting compensation for the damage done to my RV customers. I'm incredibly disappointed.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • long delivery time

Decent but expensive product for car polish and wax

This material performs at least as well as other similar products I've used in the past. However, the price is a bit higher, which makes it less profitable. For the price I was expecting to be happy. I was not. It just works well enough. At least my boat looks great. I have used it consistently with this brand's compound and sea wax. I really feel like the compound and wax does most of the work. Polishing brings little benefit and is almost not worth the effort. However, my boat was in bad…

Excellent quality, works to remove swirl marks.

As always, Meguiar's offers excellent quality. We polished a boat we bought that had a slightly sloppy gelcoat. At first we used their anti-oxidant cleaner to get rid of the most stubborn stains, but this buffed out the swirl marks and left a large surface area for the wax to apply to. We used a DeWalt buffer with a green foam buffing pad. I would like to mention that when you work as a team to polish something the polisher has to wait for the buffer to catch up because we were too far apart in

Pros
  • Noble design
Cons
  • old

Dries too quickly even if your workspace is limited to a 2' x 2' square. When I put down the applicator and picked up the buff, the polish was already cloudy, making it difficult to remove with a buff (I used a Porter Cable 6.5 variable speed buff). If you look at the head of the RV it looks normal, a bit shiny, but if you go into the corner and look down the full length of the side you'll see a lot of swirl marks and still blurry areas, although you'll find those spots have polished several…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Best product I have used for this application

These are the best products I have used both for restoring old faded gelcoat and for adding shine to freshly sprayed and buffed gelcoat. You will not regret using this product. I use these products in the following order: Meguisr's M6732 Marine One Step Compound on a buffer with a 3M yellow foam pad. After polishing with this product, which removes oxidation, minor scratches and blemishes, I then use Meguiar's M6332 Flagship Premium Marine Wax on a 3M yellow pad and finish with Meguiar's M4516…
