The foam padding has a printed "padding" type material that feels very thin. I don't let my kids play with it because the slightest snag or tear in the lining can ruin everything.

Great for beginner swimmers. I only gave it four stars because I think it's really for kids under three. My kids are four years old and a bit small for them. Otherwise a lot and they experienced it and it was good

Very functional, simple children's board. Lightweight so you can travel with them. It was nice to get two for a reasonable price. Please note that they are not large enough for a medium or large adult to swim well in the water, but are more than enough for children.

I love these boards! My 10, 7 and 5 year olds each have one. They carry enough weight to swim comfortably (120 lbs). Ideal for pool and diving training. I bought my older sons five years ago, the color has faded a bit but still works great.

swimming boards arrived with blisters where the top cover had detached from the board. The problem was that the swim board couldn't even support the weight of a 5 year old hanging from a float on the shores of Lake Superior! Basically thrown away and not as advertised!

These styrofoam sheets are covered with a very cheap, brittle polyester coating that will tear in no time (I already have it) exposing the underlying styrofoam which will flake off into your pool. Understandably, they were trying to maximize the value of these products at the expense of quality and durability. I would look elsewhere and maybe pay a little more.

I usually don't like this type of boards because the coating falls off and the foam board breaks in the water. We thought we'd try and try. They are just as we expected. It's been less than 3 weeks and the stitches have already come apart with little use. The price is great but the quality is not that great. They sure are cute, but I won't be buying this style of board again.

I bought these for my 2 year old daughter and 5 year old nephew. While my nephew didn't get a chance to try them, my 2 year old loves them! They're small enough for her to hold comfortably and buoyant enough for me to use. The printed side is nice and smooth, the back is a bit rougher but still feels smooth. The design is printed onto a nylon fabric that covers the foam, not directly onto the foam like I've seen on some.

We have just received this item and were pleased with the original look of the boards for the price. These are light rigid foam panels with colorful fabric that look even more colorful than in the pictures. Each has its own manufacturer's heat-sealable plastic wrap, and between the plastic and the platter is the maker's/Melissa & Doug paper label, also cellophane taped to the platter, presumably to keep the label inside. place before opening the package.
