High-Efficiency Mercury Outboard Fuel Filter for Reliable Water Separation - Model 35-802893T Review

Was the correct replacement filter for my Mercury Mercruiser 350 V8. I continue to use factory OEM parts whenever possible.

Exactly as advertised and really needed for my Sea Ray. Installed and solved my problem. No more engine surges under load. Most thought it was the fuel pump, but the fuel water separator had long since had to be replaced.

Buy a pair. Use one, keep one as a spare. You don't have to replace them too often. Periodically check the water content of the fuel with a clear jar or cup. Pour in the contents of the filter, let it sit for a few minutes and see how much water you have at the bottom. If it is over 1/4, you need to watch it closely and replace the filter twice per season as the filter element is clogged with water. Unless. Check it once a year.
