Impressive Industrial Hand Tool

I was hesitant to invest in a new soldering hand piece, but the Metcal MX PS5200 exceeded my expectations. After I put it to the test on a tough soldering job, I was impressed with its precision and reliability. The temperature control options allowed me to work efficiently and the ergonomic design made it comfortable to use for extended periods. It's definitely worth the investment for any industrial and scientific applications.

Pros
  • Precision, reliability, temperature control options, ergonomic design.
Cons
  • None.

No heat storage

I have a handle. The power supply constantly jumps between the two ports and doesn't stay on. Completely idiotic design.

Pros
  • Tools and household goods
Cons
  • No instructions

Worst soldering station!

What the Heck Happened to Metcal? They used to be the best. Eventually, they decided to "get smarter" and regulate the amount of heat hitting the tip. Bad move by Metcal. For now even the solder cannot be melted. Even the new Metcal doesn't work well. Even their tip with a high heat load of 800 degrees does not melt the solder. Yes, and from time to time he chooses to switch off. So you have to switch the device on and off constantly for both tips to work again. Don't make the same mistake I…

Pros
  • Welding and Soldering
Cons
  • Big and Bulky
