This adapter is a letdown. The Automotive amplifier failed within a few months and didn't noticeably amplify the signal when it was working. The adapter's build quality appears shoddy- a lack of shielding means that the radio signal is constantly interrupted.

Ordered for Audi A4 2001, works great!. If you are installing a non-original radio in this car, this adapter is a must. Don't waste your time with a non-amp adapter like me, this car needs an amplified antenna to get any type of radio reception. Installation was easy, just connect the blue wire to your new radio's amplifier, power up the wire and connect the other two ends and you're done!

This amazing antenna! I'm in rural Connecticut and have better reception than ever. I bought an aftermarket Android radio for my Audi A4 (2004) and 2 antennas that came with 2 kits of fairings to install. Audi and possibly VW (?) radios have 2 antennas, but this new radio has one. If you're going to a radio that only has one, get this antenna that fits a LARGER port. The two with the smaller plug didn't work at all. I could be near the broadcast and not receiving a signal!
