If you only need one DIN, that's fine. I need a double din. That does not fit. The instructions say to cut out the middle bar. After going through all these BS, the dashboard kit is too big to fit the dashboard trim. Absolute waste of time and money. The details of this kit should tell you clearly that it will not fit the 2005 double din matrix. no The instructions above say "Matrix 2005-2008 is not applicable". INDEED? Kit worked but I had to use a Dremel to install it in the 2005 Matrix. The description says "• Can be used to install a double block." which is true if you are installing 2003 or 2004. In 2005 the DDIN portion of my wife's kit did not fit properly and after I adjusted the height it did not work side to side. Get the filler to make it look like it will fit right on the dash. I would buy it again but note that a 2005+ matrix is only good for a single din stereo.
