Description of πŸƒ Honeywell CF100A1620 MicroDefense 16X20X4 38 Filter – Ultimate Air Protection

Easy flow Micro defense energy efficiency filters air particles such as pollen, dust, mold spores, common allergens, clothing fibers and carpet fibers. Heavy duty Frame with reinforced filter. MERV 8 filter rating is up to 20 times more efficient than a typical fiberglass filter without obstructing air flow. Filter may last up to 3 months, but many filters need to be replaced sooner – check your filter often because a dirty filter may reduce your system performance and air flow.

Low-Quality Filter, Disappointing Results

Based on my experience, this filter is not effective in filtering out airborne pollutants, such as dust and pollen, from my HVAC system. The only advantage is its affordability. However, the reduced air quality in my home is not worth the cost savings. The filter needs frequent replacement, adding to maintenance costs.

Pros
  • Highly efficient air filter that helps capture microscopic airborne particles such as pollen, dust, pet dander, and smoke.
Cons
  • May require more frequent replacement than standard air filters due to its higher level of filtration, leading to higher costs in the long run.

Hard to write a review. On the one hand, they were good filters. But they didn't fit. Please note that all 4 inch filters are not created equal. These, like most 4" filters, are actually 4 1/2". They don't fit in my oven. / 8". So before you buy, measure the oven's filter compartment to see what size it needs. You can also check the actual size of the filters you have now. I had to search a lot to find them. Finally I found some that fit perfectly They say 4" in the link but also show the…

Pros
  • Easy Flow Micro Defense Energy efficiency filters airborne particles such as pollen, dust, mold spores, common allergens, clothing and carpet fibers
Cons
  • Large and bulky

I am sure this filter is ok. It's just NOT 4 inches thick, it's 4 3/8 inches! So if your filter cage is exactly 4 inches (like mine) then you're out of luck. From what I can read Honeywell ovens expect this size, but other ovens may not fit. We went to Lowes and Home Depot(s) around town and all they carried were 4 inch deep Honeywell filters. I ended up ordering a Nordic Pure filter that was a little less than 16 x 20 and 3 5/8 inches thick, which was just what I needed. that the detailed…
