Accurate Micrometer Millimeter Conversion Measuring Tool for Household Use Review

Just doesn't work. Changed battery - no improvement. Zero cannot be held. The numbers jump wildly. The screen often goes blank and eventually just freezes.

While I don't expect to rely on it to extremely tight tolerances, it's ok for the price. Most of my building levels are made from the same fiber reinforced plastic and they perform just as well as their expensive aluminum counterparts.

If you need it for accurate measurements then it won't work. But if you need it for housework or office work, I think it's a good and inexpensive option. I can let my little kids use it without worrying too much about them damaging very sophisticated devices.

If you are looking for a very simple, economical outside micrometer that does the price then this is a great value. The device comes with batteries installed and a battery replacement kit. It turns on and off when opened and closed for power reserve. The screen is readable. The slide is a bit edgy but functional. Building materials are relatively light. Throwing it in between your tool piles is probably not the best idea.

If you need a simple caliper/micrometer, that's enough. It's great for around the house and for measuring my tech stuff, does the job and is pretty accurate. I wouldn't buy it to carry in an industrial setting, use heavy tools, or for professional accuracy. For this I would buy a much more powerful and much more expensive device. However, if it's for home use and general measurements, it will fit and save you some money.

Not impressed but luckily I only need it for a rough measurement. The caliper itself is pretty flimsy. If you just slide it, you'll feel it flex and twist. As you can see from the photo, mine also had a scratched screen. The packaging was perfect to the point that it was either broken or damaged in production. When ordering, I didn't notice or realize that inch units only use two decimal places. Frustrated, I gave it to the store. Since then I've been using this thing a lot and it works really well in dusty environments. Can't comment on accuracy because every time I tried to use it the battery compartment would open and the battery would pop out. In the end, when trying to measure the inside diameter of the drain pipe, the battery hatch opened (as usual) and the battery popped out and went into the sewer. These digital calipers were much cheaper than others. However, they work just as well. They are sensitive to tenths of a millimeter. They include external and internal dimensional functionality. They are easily converted from metric to imperial. Came with batteries! The downside is that the packaging is cheap. The product was not sealed, there were small scratches on the display.
