The best return on your money.

Surface RT offers many features at a very low price. My friend had a Surface Pro 2 and was consistently impressed with it, so I decided to give the Surface a try, but I didn't have a lot of money to spend. I bought a Surface RT for $209. I bought the keyboard used for 60€. You really need a keyboard to get the most out of Surface RT. The Surface RT comes with Windows 8 RT installed, which is sort of a base version of Windows 8. The biggest (and really only) bug I've found with Windows 8 RT is…

Update Suggestions

There are over 200 reviews so I keep mine simple. Be sure to order a Type 2 keyboard when ordering. It's more useful than the Type 1 colored panels. The Type 2 keyboard is backlit, and that's a bonus. When you get your Surface, I suggest you charge it fully before downloading any apps. You cannot upgrade to 8.1 without a full charge. This tablet needs over 70 updates and it will take hours. So make sure you have a day and keep an eye out for updates. I would advise you to go to the desktop part

2. Surface RT in 8 months

This is my 13 year old daughter Surface RT in the last 8 months. She dropped her first one, bought with her own money, just after Christmas, getting in the car. Even though it was in a briefcase, the screen cracked horribly when it hit the driveway and the repair/insurance is so expensive you might as well replace it. The new Surface RT stays in the briefcase, but now we carry it in a double-lined case with a handle to minimize the risk of damage from falls. We do not exclude this risk, but we…

If this is your first time buying a tab, start with this one. Especially students. You know, a new product comes out and suddenly everyone wants to jump in and offer all these different seemingly awesome pills more or less and feed on your objectivity that more is always better. . Less might be good until I get something better. No, don't fall for this if you've never had a tab. Start with that and then take it from there. Just research your connectors as you will need compatible accessories…

Surface RT: Somewhat limited entertainment but great for work/school

Overall, this tablet lives up to my expectations. I decided to forgo the high cost of accessories and order a BT keyboard, mouse and case from a third party. Microsoft accessories for this tablet can add up quickly. This Surface RT was great with the full office suite included, and I mainly used it during my grad school for taking notes and browsing the web. The biggest place this tablet is missing is the App Store. Compared to the Google Play Store and iTunes Store, the choice for Windows is…

Almost very good for computers and accessories

I bought this for travel. I needed a Windows based system with a USB port so I could use flash drives as I use them for work. Like others I was a little apprehensive but for the price I decided to give it a try. I tried two keyboards but chose the Microsoft keyboard cover as it is thin and light. Pros: Pretty easy to use (I use a laptop with a PC, but I use iPads). The crossing wasn't that difficult, although my children couldn't help me. I like the big screen - for a tablet, it's big enough to

Microsoft Surface RT 64GB review

It wasn't clear that a keyboard wasn't included so I spent some time trying to find one. It was shown with a keyboard and reviews indicated that it was either awkward to use or good once you got used to it. Probably the review should have a keyboard, not a tablet. Of course, this increased the costs significantly. Also, I've had computers since the DOS days and was able to fix them without instructions, although Windows originally required a 16-hour course, but I've yet to figure out how to…
