I just installed this on my F-150 front bumper where the license plate holes and the mounting holes line up perfectly are installed 20 inch light bar on it and it looks so cool. has mounting holes in the bottom corners that I had to drill in the bumper - this is going nowhere for extra strength, I'll be ordering another one for my other pickup in a moment.

Bought to add some light to the front of my truck without drilling the bumper. Unfortunately you have to drill the bumper to fit it as the holes don't line up with the screws for the license plate marker, the material is extremely light and looks so cheap I didn't bother fitting it to my truck (feels slightly heavier than a soda can and weighs about the same as a full soda pop.) I can't recommend this product and won't be buying it again

I didn't dare to put just a few screws in the plastic. I drilled through the plastic, foam and steel bumper. I pre-drilled with a #30 bit and then drilled with a 3/16" bit. I put two 1/4" x 5" screws in it and it's super secure. Spacing between the lights is good. My only complaint was that the holes for the lights weren't big enough so I had to drill them out. got 1/2".

If you only want cosmetics, buy it. It looks good. If you're looking for something strong, don't waste your time or money. When the box arrived it was so bright that the box seemed "empty". This is a very well designed mounting plate for easy installation of off-road headlights. Although it is very light, it is more than strong enough for its purpose. This unit is very easy to install with license plate screws, but most inserts on most vehicles are usually plastic and they can become loose and/or crack when you need to hold something that supports much more than the weight of the license plate. .
